24 Hours of Moving (With a Little Help from Vitafusion)
Everybody has 24 hours in their day. It’s how you choose to use each of those hours that matters.
I choose to keep moving.
With two girls running in opposite directions, plus two dogs, three cats, and a bunch of fish, there is always something that needs to be done, somewhere to go, or someone who needs to be fed. Did you know that you have to feed kids every single day? Multiple times per day, even? I don’t know why, but I find that fact shocking each time one of them looks at me with hungry eyes. Didn’t I just feed you yesterday?
Between the jumping, running, flipping, dancing, running, walking, jumping, splashing, tumbling, toddling, running, and yet more dancing, there are meals that have to be made. They have to be served in a timely manner because while hungry eyes are kind of cute, hangry eyes are terrifying.
Never let the Big Kid reach hangry stage. Trust me.
It’s all a careful balancing act, this moving and meals thing. Sometimes that careful balancing act falls a little to the side. Sometimes meals aren’t what they should be.
Which is okay. I refuse to use even one of my 24 hours beating myself up for not preparing a seven course meal. If dinner needs to be something quick and easy, so be it. If dinner needs to be something that perhaps isn’t the best choice nutritionally, so be it.
Overall balance is what matters. Besides, there are ways to fill in the gaps.
Every morning, Alexis will suddenly appear in the kitchen and declare it time for her vitamins. She’s excellent at remembering these things, though she doesn’t need to be. Her L’il Critters™ gummy vitamins are purposely placed next to the coffee so that I will see them every day and remember to hand her two. Since they are easy to chew and don’t require water, she doesn’t have to stop jumping, running, flipping, dancing, and tumbling to take them. That's good news! She doesn’t know how to stop the always moving, so finding balance means fitting in with the always moving.

I love lists. Crossing off things is motivating!
I try to create balance by getting a little exercise in every day! It helps me to stay grounded, focused and in a good mood!
Balance? I've lost that lately. My life is consumed by work. Bringing papers home to grade, going back to school at night to work more. I don't even run as much anymore. :-(
I keep some time for myself, either walking or doing something in the garage.
I keep life balanced by making sure that I always buy in bulk for groceries -- so I always have the means to make a healthy meal at home so we don't have to eat out!

life is crazy - let's enjoy it!
I try to practice moderation, don't run too fast, don't be too strict, sometimes you need to just sit down and take a break, or play hooky and read a book or eat the brownie. Life's short, don't overschedule it.
