Another Milestone

We hit another milestone this week . . . Alexis has mastered the art of taking off her clothes. So far, there hasn't been any cause for a disagreement about when she should take things off. She has been yanking her shirts and pants off for me when I go to put her pajamas on. Yesterday she took her jacket off every time we went in a store. But there hasn't been a "put your clothes back on, young lady" moment just yet. And we haven't had to argue about putting a jacket on before we go outside or anything like that. I'm sure we'll have our moment before too long.

They Can't All Be Good

Alexis had a strange night last night. I put her to bed at the usual 8:00, but she couldn't seem to fall asleep. At 9:30, she actually bolted upright and started asking for something to drink. Nearly two hours later, she finally managed to get to sleep. Then the poor kid woke up at 5:00. I ended up bringing her into our bed where she proceeded to beat on me until Daddy finally got up with her at 7:00. There is literally a bald spot on the side of my head from her playing with my hair for two hours. I would be mad, but I think she's just jealous that she doesn't have much hair of her own.

And a Happy (Belated) Birthday Goes Out To

I didn't forget, but I did fail to mention that Alexis sends a big "happy birthday" hug to both Pappaw and Meg. Meg turned 3 this week and Pappaw turned, well, a little older than 3. Two of Alexis' favorite people/animals share a birthday. That makes April a good month.

Another of Alexis' favorites has been letting her chase and abuse him again. She has been stalking him all over the deck then beating on him when she finally gets him cornered. And Coal loves every second of it.
