Back to that Kitten

Forgive me, internet, for it has been too long since I last posted a ridiculous kitten photo. Let's just go ahead and fix that now, shall we?

Her name, at least for now, is Kiara. I say "for now" because Alexis has been changing her name nearly daily for the past three weeks, but that is the name that has stuck more often than not. You get bonus points if you know which Disney movie the name is from, but not THAT many bonus points because what are you doing watching the dumb sequels?

ANYWAY.

Kiara's story is that she is a street rat who was rescued and fostered so that she would gain enough weight to be adopted. She came into our house at a whopping 1 lb 8 oz, but has already doubled her weight, so apparently that weight gain program thing is still working for her.

The thing about Kiara, though, is that Kiara is The Boss. While she lets me do whatever I want whenever I want (see also: stuff her into a tiny Pirates t-shirt), she doesn't take crap from anyone else. She spent the first week in our house demonstrating that she wasn't scared of anybody, no matter how much bigger than her they are.

Penny the puffy Tibetan Terrier was not amused. At first. Now Penny has figured out that Kiara is the boss and now she's all about the "Play with me? Maybe? For a minute? LET'S BE FRIENDS! I WILL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!"

It's amusing watching a 3 pounds of fluff boss around 35 pounds of fluff.

It's even more amusing to watch 3 pounds of fluff boss around a grown man. Because, yeah, that happens. And to that I say, "SUCKA!"
