From the day she realized she could refuse to do things without falling over dead, Alexis has twirled her hair while refusing to do things. I imagine it's because she remains a bit nervous that maybe history was not a predictor of the future and this could be the time that refusing ends very badly.

"Go put your shoes away," it starts. That seems to be the thing I've been yelling about the longest.

"No," Alexis will start, fingers in her hair twirling away. But before the "o" can fall to the ground, she takes off running to put the shoes away.

And then there's Mila.

Right now, today, Mila's response to being told to do something she doesn't want to do is to blow raspberries at you. And then she refuses to do it. And she stands her ground.

Am I supposed to laugh at the raspberry blowing? Cry? I don't really know. I just know that I've met my match.

And then some.
