I know we've discussed this before, but I DON'T UNDERSTAND. How is it that a child of mine is THIS good at putting together an outfit?
It takes Alexis approximately OH MY FREAKIN GOODNESS JUST HURRY UP to get dressed every day ... sometimes several times a day. By that I mean I have frequently managed to completely clean the kitchen while waiting for her to change out of her cheer uniform. So, 30 minutes or so?
I don't comprehend that slow part.
I really don't comprehend how she finds such coordinated items.
The thing with THAT particular outfit is that the pieces came from all different stores and were purchased at all different times. They were not purchased with the thought that they would go together, but obviously they do. That means it is totally OK to mix a dollar store scarf (seriously) with a Gap sweater and Osh Kosh boots. If Alexis does it, it must be OK.
You guys, I'm lucky if I manage to wear two black socks that have the same pattern in the stitching.
You can debate nature vs. nurture all you want, but I think this is proof of my theory that neither one really decides who a kid will be. THEY DO.
