At this point, I assume y'all see one of the girls holding daisies and you know EXACTLY what time of year it is.
In case you don't, every year on the girls' half birthdays, I force them into a little photo shoot. It involves flowers (daisies from my garden for Alexis and white roses from the store for the summer baby, Mila) and a simple white dress.
Alexis has been at this game for 15 years now.
One thing was different this year. I didn't ask for the photos. Alexis did.
And by "Alexis asked," I mean she harassed me for two solid weeks until one morning when she showed up all dressed and holding cut flowers in her hands.
Apparently she secretly does look forward to this tradition?
Mila also looks forward to this tradition because she always crashes Alexis' photos.
We plan on it.
Which, planning on it makes it much easier to let Mila steal the show for a few minutes, but then re-focus on the Big Kid.
The Big Kid who has always been a miniature adult.
But is now starting to look like a miniature adult.
It's really very unfair. Time simultaneously moves so slow, but so fast.
If you really want a kick in the pants, consider the fact that this kid only has four more of these photo shoots before she moves away for college.
Four. More. That's it. Hopefully she decides each one of them will be as fun as easy as this one was.
