Fashion Choices

We have firmly landed in "Is that a costume? Or a fashion choice?" season, a fact which is blowing Mila's mind. Despite the fact that she has walked around dressed like a dragon more days than not, she can't seem to comprehend that other people might be wearing Halloween costumes as well, even though it's not actually Halloween just yet.

Case in point: We saw a guy dressed as a clown at Target the other day. He may very well have been wearing the outfit just because he liked it, but I'm guessing he was headed somewhere and it was very purposeful.

The same thing has happened multiple times in the past few days - we see someone who is probably in a costume, and Mila thinks they're just wearing the outfit because they make strange choices. I kind of like that she errs on the side of "fashion choice" but that's not the point. The point is that so far we have had the debate about:

1. A lady dressed in full Harley gear. Like, total Biker Chick. Frankly, Mila may have been right. That one may have been a fashion choice.

2. An elephant. This one was a onesie style costume, which I guess could have been pajamas, but it was probably a costume. GO WITH ME ON THIS ONE.

3. A Santa. Definitely a costume, right?

4. A zombie. Could have been a fashion choice, I guess, but I don't think many people make the undead choice unless it's for Halloween.

5. Slutty nurse. Again, this one could be debated, but I'm going with the holiday theme because of how slutty the outfit was.

And then there is my personal favorite. Every day Mila and I drive past a martial arts academy type place. Somehow we rarely see people coming and going from it, but today we did. Class had just let out and there were about five kids walking around in their white pants, shirts, and fancy belts. Upon seeing them, Mila instantly decided this was NOT a Halloween costume; it was a fashion choice.

"I DIDN'T KNOW THERE ARE REAL NINJAS IN THIS WORLD!"
