In a few short hours, two thirds of our household will be jumping on a plane for vacation. The other one third will be jumping on a plane heading on her way to a conference for work. While that one third is (seriously) stoked to attend sessions on things like Captivate vs. Articulate and SCORM and such, she is a wee bit jealous that the other two will be visiting the House of Mouse.
Ahem.
Earlier today we dropped the dogs off at friends' house, where they will spend the week being pampered and spoiled and generally living the life they could only wish they had. A full four hours after they had been dropped off, Alexis finally realized they were missing. As she inquired about them, I sat enjoying the silence. Cody is a quiet little dog whose main fault is that he refuses to be truly housebroken. Meg, on the other hand, is a disgusting, smelly beast who never shuts up. It had been hours since she had snorted snot all over my face, and I was loving her absence.
Alexis wasn't so happy about it.
She started out by whimpering softly about how sad she was that Meg and Cody weren't with us. Then she said, "But I could put Cody in my suitcase and he could go, too."
All together now . . . Awwwwwwww.
The girl most definitely loves her dogs, espcially her Cody Bear.
Posting around here might be off schedule for the next few days while we are out of town. We shall see what happens.
