The last time Mila was at the pediatrician's office, the doctor said she's going to keep the blue eyes. While they aren't quite the same shade of blue as mine, at least FINALLY one of my kids has a physical trait that looks like it might have come from me.
Of course, I trust what that particular doctor says about ... NOT AT ALL BECAUSE HE ALSO SAID TO DO CRY IT OUT.
Ahem.
I screwed up and answered the "How is she sleeping?" question honestly. The answer is that she sucks at sleeping right now, but it's cool. I don't mind that she's not sleeping well right now because I get it. She's drinking between 1-2 ounces of milk per day while at daycare. It's completely unacceptable, but she just refuses bottles like the Kardashians refuse to go away. That means she has to get her milk at other times of the day, so HELLO ALL NIGHT FEEDINGS!
It's cool. Seriously. She will outgrow it. I see no reason to fight something that will correct itself with time.
The pediatrician, however, felt the need to give me a lecture when I said she wakes up every 3-4 hours. I didn't get a chance to tell him that there's a valid reason for it because he was busy telling me to let Mila cry and cry and cry and BLUUUURGH.
Perhaps if I did, she would figure out that she needs to cave on the bottles thing.
Or perhaps she wouldn't.
It really doesn't matter because I get a zillion times more sleep now than I did when Alexis was 10 months old. It's all because I refuse to fight with a helpless tiny human about whether or not she should sleep for hours on end.
