We happened to stumble upon an interactive art installation in Market Square tonight called Congregation, which very quickly turned into RUN DANCE JUMP RUN POSE RUN DANCE JUMP RUN POSE JUMP.
I didn't have my good camera with me, so the pictures don't do any of it justice, but ZOMG SO FUN. I can't find words to explain it, but it really was a great way to spend an hour running and jumping around.
As luck would have it, we happened to end up talking to one of the people associated with the installation, which led to a little peak at the behind-the-scenes.
It uses heat-sensing cameras to grab people's motion as they move through Market Square then translates those movements to lights and shapes using a really giant projector and screen.
So cool.
So fun.
So definitely another reason why Pittsburgh rules.
(This wasn't a sponsored post, for the record. Just something cool I wanted to mention.)
