I know it's impossible to believe it unless you see it happen for yourself, but if I grab the camera and walk into the dining room, Kiara magically appears from the depths of the house, jumps up on the dining room table, and poses.
Max shows up, too.
But, the very second Max spots any sort of shenanigans such as hats, clothes, or whatever, he's out of there. He checks to see if treats are going to be freely given, but if it's obvious they are going to have to be earned, he is GONE.
Kiara stays.
She purrs.
She waits for me to dress her.
I'm not kidding. That cat knows exactly what is coming, but she sticks around anyway because TREATS! And, I think she secretly likes the attention.
Usually.
This attention, though? Apparently it was a bit much.
There is a line, I guess. I crossed it. I knew at the time I crossed it because my hands were bleeding from scratches and she never did make eye contact with the camera. Usually it takes about five minutes of petting her and handing her treats and she's all CHEEEESE! but not this time. She. Was. Pissed.
And she got even.
This wreath -- the really awesome one that Alexis and I made and were totally digging -- Kiara targeted it.
It was just sitting there, hanging on the door and being pretty, when Kiara decided it needed to die. She jumped from a chair five feet away, smacked at it, and destroyed it.
And I do mean destroyed it.
She's proud of her thoroughness.
And now seems to be gloating that we're even.
Except, we're not. Peeps are on clearance now (Surprise! Not-food doesn't get purchased at full price!). I am totally going to remake that wreath. And then, I'm going to make a very nice something for Kiara to wear.
Something even more outstanding than a Peeps Bonnet.
I just have to figure out exactly what.
