I hate mornings. When you read that sentence, you should insert the word REALLY in there about 3993235 times because WOW DO I HATE MORNINGS.
They just don't look good on me.
It was about a year ago that my complaining about my hatred of mornings started to get on my own nerves. I can only imagine how fun it was for others to see my grumbling around, especially Alexis. She's all WOOOOOOOOO! MORNING!
She's kind of obnoxious about her love of early. Fun fact: The more obnoxious she is, the more likely I am to growl at her. She thinks it's hysterical when I do, so it's a never-ending cycle of her being more and more joyous while I'm miserable.
We were caught in one of those cycles of her enjoying my misery, thus making me more miserable, when I became fed up with my own dumb attitude.
That is why I started posting #MorningThings on Instagram. I figured that I needed to make a point of finding something good happening every morning no matter what.
And now, nearly a year later, I have manage to do exactly that. Something good. Every morning. No matter what. The really interesting part of the whole thing is that if I try to do a Project365, failure is guaranteed. I can't be bothered to take a photo every single day. Frame it as "find something good" and suddenly I'm capable, though.
It makes no sense.
Regardless, mornings are a lot better when you HAVE to find something good before you sit down for a day of work. It certainly doesn't hurt that I spend my first few hours hanging out with these two.
That's one of our first #MorningThings photos. Things really haven't changed much in a year.
