In retrospect, I should have figured out that Alexis is a Drama Queen much sooner than I did. If I go all the way back to when she was a tiny baby, I can think of the times when she proudly donned her crown. She used to throw parties to celebrate being awake, even at 3:00 in the morning. She was very vocal about the dogs making eye contact with her. In fact, she would scream as if one had bitten her when all they were doing was licking their own butts all the way across the room. Let us not forget that this is the child who was a human version of Michigan J Frog.

And she was TERRIBLE about teething.

For weeks before she would get a tooth, there was drama. Fevers! Runny nose! AND SO MUCH COMPLAINING. The poor kid was miserable while getting teeth. MISERABLE.

I felt terrible for her. At the time.

Now, I'm rethinking that because this one?

This one is the opposite of dramatic. She's all smiles and giggles and YOU GUYS, HER GUMS WERE BLEEDING WHEN I TOOK THAT PHOTO.

No joke.

That little girl, the one grinning from ear-to-ear, had three new teeth poke through the day I took that photo. THREE. I only noticed becauseshe was drooling like a fool and I went poking around to see where she might be getting teeth in like a month. Isn't the drooling supposed to come before the teeth bust through? Not after?

No matter.

The kid wins the gold medal at the Roll With It Olympics.
