* 12 Hours. That's how long it took for the frogs to find their way back to our pond. I drained all of the water out early last week. It sat completely dry for days. Then we added in the liner and rocks and I put a little bit of water in it to temporarily hold things in place. 12 hours later, the Green Frogs who had been gone for two weeks had moved back in. How do they do that? (The pond might be done this weekend. Maybe. I just need to get the pumps running and dump a load of topsoil all around it.)

* Also residing near the pond, the tiniest little toad I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure it hates me for picking it up, but what's it going to do? Tap gently on my toe while silently praying I don't squish it with my pinky?

* I have words that I want to write regarding Do Good Day, but I'm waiting to do it until after I've been to the now-open 77Kids store. That's happening very soon. The words will show up over here when they are ready.

* Speaking of that sub-page, I finally posted my magic trick for lowering the temperature in our bedroom. I still can't believe it worked. Hopefully it works just as well for some other people who have the same situation.

* I'm planning to post a bunch of before/after photos of the house. They might be the most boring photos ever seen, but I'm posting them anyway because it'll make me feel all warm and fuzzy to see the progress we've made in one year. At least I hope there will be the appearance of progress. Anyway, you've been warned--boring house pics are coming soon.

* Tonight as I was helping Alexis get ready for bed, she paused as she was brushing her teeth to ask what the word "makeover" means. She's really very good about asking for the meaning of words she doesn't know, although she isn't always able to tell me where she first heard the word. I have no idea where "makeover" came from (she blamed Mickey Mouse Clubhouse--I'm not sure if that's true or not).  I did my best to explain the meaning. A few minutes later, as I tucked her in for the night, she turned to me and said, "Momma, you need a makeover."

Apparently I will not be getting that job as a dictionary writer anytime soon. Either that, or I really do need a makeover.
