That thing that winter does to cars drives me batty, especially what it does to the inside. You know, that thing where your floor mats turn white and there's debris everywhere?
Just me?
Oh.
Well, in addition to being able to make a casserole out of all of the food that Alexis had dropped in the back seat, I could have provided the City of Pittsburgh with enough rock salt to maintain a few roads for a week. It was all gathered in the floor boards of my car. It sat there, judging me. Taunting me. Giving me grief.
And that was AFTER Alexis had spent an hour vacuuming the car in search of her runaway tooth.
So today I stopped by a car wash and gave my car a little bath and then wandered over to the vacuum. I wanted to get all of the petrified french fries, goldfish crackers, and rock salt out before it all came together to form a casserole.
I pushed the driver seat forward and ... THERE IT WAS. THE TOOTH.
I found it.
I sucked it up.
Now it can't haunt me in my sleep.
It was a very good day.

Back when Alexis' basketball season was in full swing, I had the genius ("genius" because I need more things to do like a need a hole in my head) idea to teach myself how to crochet. It turns out that it's WAY easier than knitting, so every practice I would sit on the sidelines, watching Alexis while also looping yarn around a needle.
I didn't know what I was making.
Something. Didn't matter what it was.
It started to take shape about a month ago. I'd say there are two more rows left, which will take me about two hours to do because ... blanket.
I'm making a blanket.
Probably.
In theory it will belong to the Tiny Human, but in reality I think it might belong to Kiara. She has been sleeping on it every night and mostly not hurting anything.
But then Sunday rolled around.
I'm not sure what I did to piss off the cat, but she decided to check out the probably blanket a little closer. Along the way, she found the ball of not-yet-crocheted yarn that was hidden in the middle.
HOOBOY did she have fun with that ball of yarn.
All over the family room.
And kitchen.
She didn't manage to undo much that was done crocheting wise, but she did manage to wrap every piece of furniture in gray yarn.
Guess who is going to be the beneficiary of my next crochet project? I'm thinking she will look fabulous in some sort of fancy hat.

Obviously, you still have time to make a donation and make your guess for the Tiny Human's arrival date. There's a $100 Amazon gift card up for grabs.
I wouldn't pick May 9th or 10th. Just sayin'.
