The thing about the BlogHer Expo Hall is that it is filled with companies trying every trick under the sun to get attention. They give away things like plush uteruses, shove people into costumes, and generally participate in tomfoolery and shenanigans. My favorite companies, however, stoop even lower -- they give away food. You can quite literally throw together a meal just walking through the Expo Hall, and you better believe I did it. It's like going to CostCo when they're handing out samples. There is some good stuff in there. Who needs to spend $50 on a NYC dinner when there's free food to be sampled?

I had two favorite foodstuffs in the Expo Hall this year. The vegetable stir fry was FANTASTIC, but even better was this silly strawberry smoothie. I say "silly" because REALLY? How is it that a smoothie can manage to get stuck in my head to the point that I kept circling around and grabbing another little cup?

I DON'T KNOW. I just know that I did.

So, of course, I asked what was in it. It tasted like liquefied strawberries, but I was pretty sure there was going to be a whole pile of crap in that little paper cup.

Nope.

Three ingredients, and none of them were all that terrible.

So I grabbed two more samples and then went and bought the stuff to make them once I was home. Alexis has been chugging the strawberries smoothies ever since.

Simple Strawberry Smoothie

1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
1/2 cup apple juice
1/4 cup Vanilla Flavor Coffee-mate Natural Bliss Creamer (contains: milk, cream, and sugar)

(Makes one smoothie.)

The directions for this are going to be tough, so try to stay with me. Place the strawberries, apple juice, and creamer in a blender or smoothie maker. Blend all the stuff until it's smooth. You're done!

I'm sorry that you're so exhausted. Relax and enjoy some Strawberry Smoothie while you recover from all of that work.
