Well now. We've been doing this for quite some time, haven't we?
In case you don't know exactly what I'm talking about, I'm referring to the girls' half birthdays.
On their half birthdays, I ask the girls to dress in a simple white dress and hold some flowers for a photo or four hundred.
Alexis gets daisies because I have approximately 3258913785712 of them in my garden and they happen to bloom right around her half birthday.
Except this year. This year they bloomed over a month early. I have no idea how or why, I just know that they were done before we even managed to get to the correct month.
Which means I had to buy flowers this year. I'm a little bitter about it.
But only because they were SUPER hard to find. It ended up being a thing where I bought several lavish mixed boquets just so I could get a few good daisy stems.
No matter, we got it done.
Alexis paid for her own white dress this year because of course she did. She has a job like a real human now, and she wanted a dress that was more expensive than I'm willing to pay for one little photo. So.
She made her own magic with her own money and it's almost as if she's inching way too close to being an actual adult.
Which is beyond startling, frankly.
Because wasn't it just a few months ago that this whole daisy thing started?
Which means it makes absolutely no sense that there are now 16 different half-birthday daisy photos.
Don't blink, y'all. A lot can happen.
Like this. I blinked and now here is that tiny baby nearly grown up.
