Zoe is Scary, Y'all

Three tickets to Sesame Street live: $60

A bag of popcorn to feed Daddy: $3.50

One size 2 Sesame Street Live t-shirt featuring Elmo: $15

Finding out your Toddler is petrified of people in monster costumes: Not cool. However, in about 10 years, teasing her about being scared to tears of the Big Bad Elmo will be fabulous.

The Toddler finally realizing the whole experience might just be a little fun (with ten minutes left in the show): Priceless

Oh, that's terrible. Better than when Catwoman figured that out AFTER her trip to Sesame Place in your neck of the woods tho!! Poor A. I hope she gets over her fear.

SD did something similar when I took him to his first movie. But it was more, "Mommy. It's dark. It's spooky. Mom, I need a flashlight. MOM!! It's dark." We left after about 7 minutes.

Too funny!

I can imagine exactly the same reaction from Amy!

Wow! Kudos to you for sitting through that show. I can't imagine. The things we do for our kids, huh?
Take me to a circus, and I'm crying too. I can't stand clowns. I know how the little lady feels.
She sure is a cutie!

Oh, I'm sorry! Where we live- they offer the tickets on opening night for only $10. So, we go then- even though it is a week night- since it is cheaper! Ashlyn did okay with it the year she was Alexis age- but we were not all that close. Next year she will like it better!

We skipped Elmo this year (I was sad about growing out of the Elmo phase!) because A would much rather see Disney On Ice- Princesses....and, hey, they have the same opening night dea of cheaper tickets. Not $10, but still cheaper!

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I love the feeding someone else stage!

I'd probably avoid tickets for The Lion King. Our kids never did costumed characters at all, but from distances they could at least watch in fascination/horror. Poor Alexis! Too bad she couldn't have come around within the first 7 minutes.

Awww. You'd think they'd be sooo happy finally getting to meet their "heroes" instead of a major freak out. But I guess, to them, they are gigantic. Glad she finally started enjoying it.

I would love to see Sesame Street Live -- but only if Grover is there. He's my favorite!

Ack! Did you want to scream? Thankfully Alexis perked up at the end, but only 10 minutes, bummer!

Aww that looks like a lot of fun. I'm sure there were lots of kids who were scared at parts. I'm sure it was worth the money. We're getting ready now to go to Disney's Princesses on Ice with my 3 year old. I can't wait. Your pictures got me excited!

awwwwwwww!!! I miss going to those shows!!!!! How sweet those pictures were!!!

Awww! Isn't that always the case? Daughter did the same thing when we went to Chuck-E-Cheese. Spent a ton of money on pizza and tokens...one look at Chuck-E in costume,....tears like you wouldn't believe!

Love the last pic :)

Oh, the sad face picture! What a sweet sad face - she would have me wrapped around her finger.

She is so cute! My son, Kameron, was terrified of costumes too. We just took my youngest two to this show in December and they LOVED it! (One is too young to realize these characters might just be scary though! LOL)

Aw, poor Alexis! Is it bad that I think the sad picture of her is adorable?

Bummer! I've had kids decline invites to any party my kids had at Chuck E. Cheese's because of that giant rat. I also have a girlfriend whose son didn't trick or treat until he was about 8.
