This Can't Be Good

Take a look at this photo:

That? Is the aftermath of Alexis sorting through a few dozen stuffed animals then selecting one to tuck into her bed. I don't think it's coincidence that she selected the Toddler-sized bunny. I do believe the child is already figuring out how to make it look like she's in her bed when she's really riding around in the backseat of some punk's beat-up Dodge Neon.

Anybody know where I can buy some prison bars to install on the windows?

Note to Alexis: I think it's only fair to warn you that I hold a PhD in Sneaking Out and was the Professor of Staying Out All Night 101. You can't come up with a trick that I don't know. Save yourself a hella lot trouble and don't bother trying. Trust me.

But, mommy, how do you know??? hee hee hee!

That is too funny that she put the bunny in the bed! OMG! That Dora is getting a workout trying to hid bunny. I'm loving Alexis being in purple....such a good color ;)

Lock her up and hurry mommy!

I have a feeling she's a wild one!

But a cute wild one!

That could swing two ways. Either you're in for some LONG teen years, or she'll be a great mommy tucking in everything around her with a goodnight kiss.

You're quite the talented momma! You escape artist!

March 27, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

Would it be wrong of me to suggest a large dog kennel? For the stuffed animals NOT for Alexis of course. :)

March 27, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMamaGeek

I need to introduce you to my brother. He managed to sneak out with the insomniac my mom around. It took a solid two hours to get out of the driveway, but he did it!

Ha! You know, the first thing I thought of when I read this was Ferris Bueller...That doesn't bode well for you!

I think she's just being nurturing. Yeah, that's it. Making a little cocoon for her buddies.

Snort. :)

Some how I just knew this one would be filed under Paybacks! ;)

March 27, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa

She's a cute one, and you have your hands full:)

March 27, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNap Warden

Karen and Melissa are right. She's playing mommy and tucking in. This is the same child who's recently learned to stay in bed. Correct?

Let the installation of booby traps begin!

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTootsie Farklepants

I'm scared. I NEVER even thought of trying to sneak out at night. When do your classes begin? I figure I'm safe with the oldest, but the middle one is 5 and growing up FAST! Help.

Now, if it's sneaking food off your plate so you don't have to eat it, I'm the one to call.

Hey! I hold those same degrees! What a coinky-dink!

Her bed looks like Punkin's bed. She never goes to sleep with less than 4 stuffed animals and an occasional book. Funny, though, that I never suspected ulterior motives. Until now.

The word "punk" next to Dodge Neon made me laugh. (I owned an emerald green Dodge Neon, thank you very much). My comments are never like the others, are they?

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJen

ha, practice makes perfect I guess she's getting a head start.

My room when I was a teenager had a window that was ground level, what the hell were my parents thinking?

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterImpostorMom

love it -- and so it begins...

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHolly

What??? Nah, look at that sweet, innocent face. I don't believe she'll ever be a wild and reckless teenager! lol

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKaren C.

Let the games begin :)
Funny post!

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMary

Are you holding classes professor? I was always too chicken, but I have a feeling Sophie won't feel the same way.
Good Luck Alexis--I hope you heed your mama's warning!

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSusie

Well, at least she comes by it honestly ;)
that is so hilarious!

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKaren MEG

You can't disuade me...still want the bully in the band. It's ok if he eats all the balls...my wieners like to play with a lot of things!

Hallie ;)

See...being a rebellious teen benefits us as parents! My hubby has me beat, but I'm hoping between the two of us our kids won't be able to pull anything over on us when they're teens...we can hope, right? I love when kids get stuffed animals that are their size or bigger...it's too cute when they snuggle together.

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterThe Zookeeper

Oh no! That is enough to give you nightmares! Too funny.

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKathryn

She's a sneaky one...

I used to sneak out of the house too and threw hot dogs at my dog to keep it from barking!!!!

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterkimmy

So funny !

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterShellie

That means she has inhereted your sneaking abilities and will only expand upon them and amaze you...

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterALF

You definitely need to get rid of that bunny immediately!

My plan is already in place: we have an alarm system and I have dog ears, so even if they try to disarm it I WILL HEAR THEM. Mwahahahaha!!! ;)

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMarlee

HAHA!! It's starting already :)

('m pretty sure I tried the whole objects under the covers trick once. Perhaps twice.)

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKellie

Hilarious! Little Man drives a Fisher-Price tricycle, a yellow Hummer push car and an electric 4-wheeler that goes about 2 MPH. If you see any of those circling in front of Alexis' window, please call me immediately.

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCatwoman

ACK!

I too was in both of those fields. And yes I remember all to well what happened on those out all night nights.

Better put the bars on all the windows. And a good alarm on the door.

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMarmarbug

Ummm.. and again with the bearing of bad tidings: Have you ever heard the saying, "You will pay for your raising?" Better start eating your Wheaties now, Mom. It's gonna be a loooooong run with that little smartie. ;o)

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDamama T

Beat up Dodge Neon...heh. I totally picuture it yellow because that's what color MY punk's beat up car was...

If that stuff is inherited, to quote you, "We are SCREWED".

BIG sigh...

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCecily R

AAAhhhh.... I'm sure she isn't planning on sneaking out YET! lol

Now, share some sneaking out stories!!!

That is REALLY funny! Do you know that I've never snuck out of any place in my life -- unless you count two nights ago when I ran upstairs really quickly so my husband wouldn't know I'd checked my e-mail again. (I don't know why it would have MATTERED, but...)

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterRebecca

At least she's not hiding a boyfriend under the covers ... or so you think.

March 28, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjust jamie

Yes, you may have experience in certain things, but the world has changed. You'll need to find her pages on Facebook and MySpace to keep track of where she goes! LOL!

March 29, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCheri

PS - I don't know if you care or not, but I just gave you an award over at my place.

And I still want your dog.

March 29, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLaw Student Hot Mama

OMG. Bars on windows ASAP. This could get out of hand very quickly.

March 29, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHRH

OMG, that is too fricken funny!!!!!

so then who bought her the toddler-sized bunny? :)
