Just Tube It

The Problem: Your Mother is far too cheap and cruel to buy you pudding in a tube. This is a heartbreaking disappointment as EVERYTHING tastes better in a tube.

The Solution
: Dig in the trash and find a four-day old empty fruit snack package. Then carefully spoon the contents of a pudding cup into the package. Voila! Pudding in a tube! As an added bonus, the cheap and cruel Mother will get to spend twenty minutes cleaning up after your moment of creative genius. Just don't get the idea that you were being all sneaky with this endeavor. The cheap and cruel Mother most likely knew everything that was going on, but was curious to see how far you planned to take this little project. The cheap and cruel Mother thinks that was a heck of a lot of effort just to get to eat pudding out of a tube. But cute.

I like tubes. I like pudding. I LOVE that you let her get messy. No way I would have done that! sigh
She is gorgeously happy and satisfied! What great pics. Cute outfit too~!

Next time dump the pudding in a plastic bag, squish it into the corner, snip off the end of the bag and pipe it into the used tube, and then stand back!

I've never done it though...I swear!

She is so darn creative and she's just a toddler. You're in such big trouble, either that or her creativity and ingenuity is going to make you rich one day!!
I love the top pic of her, it's brilliant.

Thanks for the laugh ;-p

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterRachel

Man, that is creative! I love a girl who knows how to get what she wants. If you want things done right, you do them yourself. She's going places...Hopefully not with pudding all over her face, but she's going.

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJen

she is brilliant, that girl.

just brilliant!

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterthe planet of janet

Dude. Start filling out the paperwork for Harvard now. She is genius!

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterOHmommy

Of course she's brilliant. And messy.

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMandy

Wow, Alexis really is a genius! Aren't you glad she didn't decide to use your shoe? ;)

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa

She seriously figured that little plan out by herself? Holy moly. Seriously, that kid is smart. Maybe she'll be blogging by 4?

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjust jamie

Wow! She is WAY TOO SMART!

Boy are you in trouble! Hahahahaah (head thrown back for evil laugh effect!)

She is so very cute too! Uh-Oh!

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSarah Brooks

Yes, Definitely Cute!!

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterVerWaynia

Now the important question: did she SHARE said faux tube-o-puddin'? Or were you forced to lick some off of her cute cheeks?

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterColleen

I don't like those photos of her. She's looking way too grown up. Of course maybe it's just that super intelligence showing through. You're in for a ride during the teen years.

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKaren

oh my word, i love it!!

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKATE

Pudding in a tube--I've never even heard of it so she's a few IQ points higher than me ;)
Too cute!

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLisa

OMG. Seriously, that child is WAY ahead of her time. Thank God you have photos.

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHRH

I think I've said this before, but you are in trouble. What kind of kid thinks this stuff up? Too smart for their own good ones, that who.

June 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDebbie Yost

Yep, that toddler of yours is smart - sneaky, cute smart (the worst kind of smart)!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterPoltzie

Smart, sneaky and very determined. She will do something big someday, I tell you, but hopefully it will be on the right side of the law :). I wouldn't waste $ on tubes either, which also happen to be great squirting apparatus, and purple polka dots all over the room aren't my idea of decorating, and that wet stuff does funny stuff when mixed with electrical sockets, let me tell U! Just keep being mean!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterShellie

HO-LY CRAP she is smart!! Brilliant. And stinkin' cute.

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCecily R

You are SO in trouble. Not only brilliant, but also "street smart" in the toddler world. What's really incredible is, she does this stuff on purpose; it's not like it all accidentally works out. She makes it happen. At this young age. And then smiles sweetly and happily.

Oh, you are SO in trouble :)...

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterkim-d

I totally had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHeather

OMG! That is hilarious! But my question is, are you planning on doing this every time she has pudding? You know, if you do it once, be prepared to do it again. and again. and again.....

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterIrene

Did she evil cackle at you after your display of brilliance?! You're not going to be able to sneak anything by her.

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered Commenternikki

I meant after HER display of brilliance. Yeesh, don't let this girl type so early in the morning.

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered Commenternikki

WOW! She is s smart little cookie isn't she?

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMarmarbug

Who knew pudding in a tube could be so cute?

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKathryn

wow, Alexis, I am truly impressed at your creativity. Surely you must give some credit to cheap and cruel mom for inhereting such a talent :-)

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterElisa

I never even thought of that! Genius, I am so going to try that!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTammy

I'm gonna have to say it was worth it to let her do it just for the pictures. Awesome.

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterElaine A.

Oh, NO!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterwheelsonthebus

That is too cute! And very inventive!

We had one of these days with fudge pops.

I actually had to dip the boy in the pool BEFORE taking him to the bath cause he was just THAT bad!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterVal

Apparently, I'm not a cruel and cheap mother, just a very ignorant one, because pudding in a tube? Really? They have that?

Huh.

I have deleted your page from my history, to avoid Little Man seeing these pictures and getting ideas.

I like my toddlers to be completely idea free, yes ma'am.

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCatwoman

too cute

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBecoming Mommy

Very creative Alexis but very messy!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterErin

Oh my gosh, that is too funny! What a smart, crafty girl she is!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

Cute, smart, creative and inventive - Look out, world, it's Alexis!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSarah O.

GENIOUS, I tell you. GENIOUS!

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMandy

What a talented little thing you have there. Gifted or wot? Enjoyed looking at your blog. I have a good friend who lives in South Park just south of Pittsburgh -- we visited there a couple of years back and had a great time. I loved walking in downtown -- made me feel like I was back in an English city.

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered Commentercrunchiemummy

Holy crap! That is freaking hilarious! She sure is one smart little cookie! Ha! Did she stare at you every step of the way too?

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMary

I see great things in the future for this clever child.

Oh. What. Fun. For. YOU.

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDapoppins

Ok for a second there I thought YOU had put the pudding in the tube and I thought good lord THAT IS cheap but now I realize the Toddler is just a super genius. (And I am incredibly slow. :P)

June 12, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterImpostorMom

Ahahaha. That's awesome.

She's a smart child that Alexis! You have got quite a future with her, for sure.

June 13, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterallisonsays.com

Too funny! Girl, you are in so much trouble. But she's so cute I just want to pinch her little cheeks!

June 13, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterFlea

she really did that?? wow. I'm impressed! Watch out- she's only 2!

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBirdie

She really is a supergenius!! I'm so impressed.

BTW, that first pic is no longer showing.

June 17, 2008 | Unregistered Commentercaramama

You might want to invest in a funnel - I think she digs the pudding in a tube. Just guessin.
