Hoping I Didn't Forget Anybody

We've got a "thing" for Peanut M&M's in this house.

They can make the world's worst boo-boo suddenly feel just fine and dandy.

They can dry up tears in a flash.

They have been a requirement at each and every Penguins game the Toddler has attended.

They should be present anytime there is ice cream about to be shoveled into a Toddler mouth.

They can be used as an effective form of bribery for pretty much everything (except potty-training--that would be far too easy).

And, the Peanut M&M thing started when Alexis was just moments old. As our new little family was sitting in that tiny little hospital room, Mr. Husband was chomping on a big ol' package of the special candy.

As he watched me throw-up repeatedly from major drug-induced nausea.

Alexis, only your Dad could keep on eating through that massive amount of vomit. I think you can attribute your love of the candy to him.

Happy Father's Day, Mr. Husband!

(And Pappaw! And Grandpa! And other Grandpa! And Pops! And other Grandpa yet! Oh, and other, other Grandpa yet! And that other Grandpa, too!) (Yes, Alexis has a lot of grandparents. A LOT!)

Happy Father's Day, BBD. I hope being locked in the house with the kiddo got you some great one-on-one time.

Happy Father's Day, Baby Burgh Daddy!

Can you say STOMACH OF STEEL? Wow!

I'm a sucker for peanut M&Ms myself :)

Happy Father's Day to your main squeeze!

Aw, happy father's day!

Zach also managed to eat away throughout the whole ordeal. I threw up while in transition, multiple times, and then threw up a few times after surgery. laski is right: men have stomachs of steel!

M&M's are good. Fortunately I'm the only one in my family who thinks so...this means I get the WHOLE bag. Happy Father's Day!

I see that Peanut M&Ms weren't the only thing that started right off the bat... I see that Stealer's logo peeking out there above her precious little arms. LOL!

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKellie

Funny that it doesn't surprise me in the least that the first shirt she wore was a Steeler shirt! Someday you'll have to explain your family tree to me. That is a lot of presents at Christmas!

Peanut M&M's make all my boo-boo's go away.

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered Commenternikki

I'm glad I'm not the only one who suffered from post-medication vomiting. You know, just the thing you want to do after giving birth -besides eating Peanut M&Ms, which I love, too.

Happy belated Father's day to yours also!

Have a great rainy day today ;)

Mmmm....peanut M&M's. What a great bribe, a little bit of protein in every bite, right?

(Tatum is allergic to peanuts. It's tragic having to keep those M&M delights out of the house.)

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjust jamie

Seriously, peanut m&ms are like Windex in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Cures anything. It's scientifically proven.

Happy Fathers Day! (A day late!) That man is tough! If I so much as HEAR someone gag it is over.

Happy Father's Day, Mr. Husband!

(nice that you got one of him smiling...or someone did...he always seems so serious...he must've just had his peanut M&M's while you horked-out your guts)

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSarah Brooks

Yum, Peanut M&M's. I'll bet you're glad Alexis doesn't have a peanut allergy!!

June 16, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa

mmmmmm, now I am craving peanut M&Ms. We only have regular ones around here. I think I will go smear some peanut butter on them.

The Kid has a crap load of grandparents too. Lucky ducks.
He's got 3 grandmothers, 2 great-grandmothers, 3 grandfathers and 3 great-grandfathers....a few are step, but still. Holy cow it's a lot of lovin'.

If I knew your address I would send a large bag of candy goodness to you all right now.

BUT. Since that might make me a stalker, I will just say HAPPY FATHER'S DAY Mr. Husband!!

Our family food is regular m/m's; we even have a certain way of eating them ☺ Too long for a comment section but does give me an idea for a post...

Happy (belated) Father's Day, Mr. Husband!

June 17, 2008 | Unregistered Commentercaramama

Its a Pittsburg thing, I swear it. My husband and his father adore peanut M&Ms and love the Steelers. Coincidence? I think not... ;)

I just noticed that Mr. Daddy and Little Miss have matching Steelers wear. How special.

And those hospitals all must get a discount at Ugly Is Us because those are the very same chairs and wallpaper as in our maternity ward. And something tells me that you didn't come here to birth that baby.
