Wow my oldest son would have a nervous breakdown with that much paint on his hands! The little one, well he painted the whole dining room once!

Love the oversized t-shirt as smock. Excellent idea.

What a cute artiste.

It's one of my old t-shirts. She has a fancy smock somewhere around here, but I can't find it. :-/

Oooh yeah, fun times! But I'm amazed she didn't paint on herself, too. We use a big tshirt as smock, too.

Fingerpainting is awesome my kids love it! I have fancy smocks for my kids too that I can never find when we pull out the finger paint so we use daddy's old work shirts instead. Love the close up of the hand covered in paint. She looks like shes having a blast!

My kids would have DIED before allowing such mess on their hands! Have fun, Miss Alexis!

You are a brave, brave soul. And look at the rewards! Frame those pieces of art!

Photos are gorgeous of course, but I am intrigued about how you managed to get the close up without getting painted yourself. Or were you hiding behind a protective screen 8 feet away? Cause that is what I would have had to do.

Loving the Burgh Baby's creative genius. You inspired me to let mine paint yesterday. He had fun & left while I kept paining. This morning he tells Puppy he painted a picture for him. It was mine. He stole my piece of carp art & passed it off as his own. Snake.

Awwww. She's so beautiful in colors!

I love these pics! When Meggers is painting, by the time I grab the camera it's a lovely shade of brown/black as she mixes all the colors..lol Note to self.. Get camera first, then put paints out..lol :)

It looks like she had a blast!

i can still remember my twins first time fingerpainting...they would only touch it with one finger and make a line...they were not fond of it at all. And my oldest...she cried...lol

July 19, 2008 | Unregistered Commentergeenalyn

That looks like so much fun! I'm sure she'll do beautiful, frame-worthy work, too!

You're a fun mama! Did you make one? And, is that a skateboard in the one picture?

I'm not brave enough to do finger painting yet. Though next time we get the newspaper we might try.

I love smearing gooey schtuff all over the place. LOVE love love it.

Just thought I'd share.

Just a word of warning, always empty your bladder before starting projects like this, because if you have to leave the room for a few minutes while the artwork is going on, lets just say it's not a pretty picture! I have no idea why I know that .

Those pics are too cute! I love me some fingerpainting.

July 21, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAutumn

How FUN! I'm sure that wasn't so much fun to clean up, though...

oh you are crazy

I mentioned to my husband that Boog would probably love some fingerpaints and he looked at me like I had two heads. Oh no, that stuff is for daycare, he said. He can finger paint in the tub, with the colored soaps.

Party pooper!
