Riddle Me This

How exactly does a doll--a NOT ALIVE AND NOT CAPABLE OF DRIPPING SNOT DEE OH EL EL--end up with snot on the corner of her nose?

I think I'll be keeping a closer eye on that Baby Shell for now on. She's starting to freak me out.

*Pretending not to notice the slobber in her mouth because that? Is too much weird for my brain to handle.*

Maybe YOUR doll has allergies. She needs to brush her gums. Oral hygiene is of the utmost importance. Does she dress like a Barbie?

DAMN IT!!! The next time I click on a link from your plurk page you better have a disclaimer: "Warning people who get freaked out by baby dolls should not look at this".

I'm crawling to my bed and cry.

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJustin

and I thought you and Justin had bonded over photo-talk and fruit salad.
He's so shell-shocked a dang Little People on the floor near the steps scared him and now he's rocking in a corner crying.

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterColleen

OK. Stoppit with the creepy freaking dolls already.

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterUncle Crappy

Methinks the little dolly has a cold.

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterRoger

MORE creepy dolls? Ack. And this one has SNOT and DROOL!? Oh man. No wonder you're freaked out.

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAllison Says

I was a little worried when I saw you were writing about dolls again! At least it's just Baby Shell...phew....with snot and drool??? CREEPIRIFFIC!!!

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDanielle

This is probably just the doll gods revenge for the torture you put the rest of us through. Sweet dreams tonight! :D

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterFlea

Naaaa, she's just been fed and watered by The Toddler. I know the look well.

Plus I have to believe that because the alternative reminds me a little too much of Chuckie.

July 30, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKaren

I am a bit freaked by the doll...I'll get over it, just a little freaked.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterNap Warden

See what you started? You're going to have to start a support group for people who have pediophobia (yup, fear of dolls--it is a word. I looked it up) . . .

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLaskiGal

This is indeed a mystery. Makes me think of Chucky a little.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDebbie Yost

I would definately be keeping my eye on that Baby Shell its a little creepy that shes got slobber and boogers.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBrandy

i. am. afraid.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterthe planet of janet

Out of curiosity... any idea what Chucky's bride's name was? :)

And? This is a prime example of why I'm so glad I had boys and no girls. There is no freaky "snot-where-there-shouldn't-be-snot" that happens with a Hot Wheels car.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterThe Sports Mama

Ewww! And YIKES! If I were the toddler I'd make baby shell sleep with you tonight! The eyes need to close on that doll or tears might start to seep out too! Blech puking now, I can't handle snot and drool ya know! (and I have two boys....help)

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMy boys are Army Brats

Is this actually the doll cake you threatened to make? And you added snot to make it look extra realistic?

Hallie

Seriously. You're KILLING me with the dolls. And yes, fine....Baby Shell isn't one of those freaky ones that look oh so real you've posted before. But, still. The drool. The snot. Close enough.

:)

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKellie

I think it is okay until the head starts to spin. Then I think I may inadvertantly leave the doll in a public place.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterOutnumbered2to1

I think some Toddler has been loving on that doll. Either that or your dreams for Real Baby Dollz (or whatever the hell they're called) are coming true.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMadame Queen

#1: I thought you promised no more dollies.

#2: I just ate and now want to hurl.

Thanks Lovah.

That doll would be in the fucking garbage by now if it were at my house.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered Commenternikki

Okay ew. And EW IT IS ALIVE!!!!! RUN! SAVE ALEXIS!

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMarmarbug

That is just freaky! Watch it close, she may start doing really weird things. heh!!

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterjustmylife

I don't know what to say. This is beginning to creep me out. If it were me....I'd burn it, seriously.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterVal

And it drools. Oy.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCheri @ Blog This Mom!

I think Alexis must have been sharing hers to make the baby doll more real. ha ha ha

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMary

Ok. I'm scared of that.

Not sure I can fall asleep tonight--creepy!

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterLisa@verybusymomwith4

some lesson about the velveteen rabbit and becoming real here...

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDapoppins

Alexis is now hoping that you'll finally believe her the next time she tells you that Baby Shell pushed her.

Can't believe that the doll producing snot and spit would be what it takes for you to believe your own daughter, but whatever.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterCatwoman

Okay, that's creepy.

I haven't read the comments so I'm sure this has been mentioned, but all I am thinking about is Chucky.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterRachel

LOL! I was more concerned about the slobber, myself!! ;)

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMelissa

Dude. That doll is a little freaky realistic. I hope it's not one of them ones that pee.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered Commentertammy

Really, your dolls just weird me out. Very glad my girls were never into babies. Hopefully that keeps up through the teenaged years.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterAmy

Uh, ew. God wasn't I just saying that recently for something else. You guys have a lot of ew things going on over there, what's up with that?

Oh right, a toddler.

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered Commenterskiplovey

eeewww that's weird AND gross.
this reminds me of the book The Doll.
It comes to life. And starts fires and things--your basic exorcists meets firestarter nightmare.
Have fun sleeping tonight!

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSusie

Scary.
Dolls are scary.

See, you totally get more comments than i do.
You are the winner, I am the loser. HaH!

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterRachel

It's Chucky's baby! It's evil I tell you, evil!!! LOL

July 31, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTammy

That is creepy. I'd suggest you try to get rid of it, but I'm afraid it would find it's way back into your house on it's own anyway. Be afraid....be very, very afraid.

August 1, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSarah

Are you sure that thing doesn't come to life at night after you tuck Alexis into bed?! Evil.
