Spray a Little Joy
Alexis is a breakfast girl. She would eat pancakes and waffles three meals a day, seven days a week if she could. Every single morning she gets her fix thanks to the joy that is frozen breakfast foods. One of my biggest failures in Alexis' eyes was the one time that we were totally out of frozen pancakes AND waffles. She nearly blew a gasket and most certainly fired me that morning. The way she sees it, the freezer should be totally full of her frozen fixes.
Before you give me any crap about how many preservatives and additives are in those boxes of Eggo's, let me just say that my lazy butt is not going to get up earlier than I already do so that I can slave over a stove cooking the kid fresh/homemade pancakes or waffles. I can't even be bothered to spray some pancakes in a pan, let alone mix things together.
Oh, yeah. I said SPRAY some pancakes in a pan.
Have you seen these?
You know what those are? Those are AWESOME IN A CAN!
Check it:
Making pancakes is like spraying whip cream. This is a good thing.
Me + whip cream = fun. True fact. Me + spray pancakes = fun. In the form of name pancakes for the kid.
You can tell me that I can do that with regular pancake batter, but I don't care. I won't get the joy of pancake whip-its and the extreme control the whip cream style can offers.
Why, yes, I am easily amused.
Spray pancakes cook up just like regular pancakes. The also taste just like regular pancakes. Nothing fancy about the end result, it's all about the method.
Just don't worry about me suddenly becoming less lazy and actually trying to make those things in the morning. At $6/can, they ain't exactly a bargain.
But they are fun. For me, anyway.

DUDE!! nom nom nom
We are so getting those!!
Oh my word. Seriously? Pancakes from a spray can.
I have no words. :-)
As long as you and Alexis are having fun, right ;-)
LOL.
At least you're making her breakfast.
Go Mom!!
Oohh I am looking for some of that this weekend. How easy is that.My kids would love it if I made their names.Well Cadie would anyway.
I am like you.NO WAY am I gettin up early to make stuff for real.
I fell in love, years ago, with Krusteaz, which I bought in big bags at Sams. Just add water. If you wanted to be fancy, you could put it in a Ziploc bag with the water and squish it till it's done, then snip one end and pour into fancy shapes. But it is YUMMY.
Wow, I've never seen that product before! Interesting!
But yeah, I'm just as glad that my kids liked cereal, although now my son is an excellent cook and makes great Belgian waffles when he's in the mood!
Peace - D
Now there is a home made breakfast I can get on board with.
LOL! We had pancakes for dinner last night! :) I'm all about making them, though. I've done it from scratch a few times but I prefer the mix (original, NOT complete).
Very cool - sadly, it's a bit out of our budget for everyday use, but I love flea's idea! Yep, I'm crazy and love to make breakfast food.
My kid is a breakfast lover too. I get the frozen kinds too, but get the organic whole grain kind to justify it. lol
Oh my, that's a really cool idea!! I knew had the shake and pour stuff, but I had on idea they had "spraycakes!" Although, I'm curious how something can stay organic when it comes in a spray bottle like that...those things aren't used for whip-its for nothing.
And, we totally believe in frozen bkfast around here - we live on the stuff!
THAT is awesome. If only for the name: 'Batter Blaster'! Love it! And I love that you wrote her name in pancake :)
I was about ready to go out and buy some ... then I saw the price. I think I'll stick with Eggos. Looks like fun, though.
Dude. How awesome is THAT?! Everything in a spray can is cool in my book.
Morgan loves waffles. She gets the frozen, organic, whole grain deals. And, at $6 a can? I think she'll continue getting the frozen, organic, whole grain deals.
:)
You might have just revolutionized camping trips...
omigod, i have to have those!!!!!!
I just saw those in the grocery store last week, and the name made me laugh. However, I can tell you that if they came in a gluten free variety I would so be buying them.
They look way too fun - I like the pancake name. I might have to try them, but then Boy Child likes to make our pancakes from Bisquick. He is in charge of the combining the ingredients and mixing the batter. The batter recipe makes way too many for them at one time so I freeze them in 3's then just microwave them when they want them.
Hey, if it makes it fun, I say go for it! I just do the Bisquick thing and tho it's not as fun it really is quick and easy.
My kids eat frozen pancakes or waffles for breakfast EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING. Unless I am feeling particularly domestic, and then they eat instant oatmeal. I am going to have to look for that the next time I am at the store!
That is awesome!! The kid loves all the frozen stuff in the morning. Toaster oven, hand the Kid his food, crawl back in bed.
He is a huge breakfast eater! Loves scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.
I am totally going to have to try that pancake in a can! They need to send you some free cans for spreading the news!
Oh my gosh, my husband was mumbling about something like this he saw at !COSTCO! yesterday and I was all like, huh-hmmm honey.
Now, he wants to know how many pancacks you can actually get outta that $6 can. I think he wants them.
omg..!!!
THAT'S AWESOME.
I live no where near a costco.
maybe online?
hmm...
glad they taste real!
Pity I won't find them here
No way! I haven't seen those before! Ca-razy!
Never!!!
I will figure out how to make perfect home-made pancakes. Even if it takes until my daughter is married and moved out already.

Dude. You have to check out Tanya's disembodied Dora cake. :)

I'm all for ease but that looks scary, yo. However, it did make me crave some cheese in a can. Yes. So, thanks for that.
Also, BB loves him some pancakes. Hardcore. And waffles. Sending him over in the AM. Thanks!
I love Eggos and I'm not afraid to admit it. But we got a waffel maker last year and I must say, it makes a mighty fine belgian waffle!!
Hallie :)
I have seen this but until now, didn't know anyone who had tried it. I'll be getting some too. I run out of waffles regularly (Oh Costco, please bring back the big boxes of mini waffles! Please!!) and hate "that look".
Love the letters too. That alone is reason to try it.
Those are AWESOME! Especially since ahem, I can't do pancakes!!!!!
Shoot, Alexis and Bean should go ahead and get hitched. HE is also a lover of some frozen pancakes and waffles.
What ever works my dear. What ever works.....
I am really hooting over here, which isn't helping my cough!
I photographed that same can (at Whole Foods) because it was too funny and I had to post about it! Well, you beat me to it and now there's one less thing to write about from the log jam of posts in my brain.
Great minds think alike . . . or one great mind thought and one not-so-great mind slacked. Excellent work.
Seriously? Pancakes from a whipped cream can. That's awesome. It almost makes me forget that I saw a post about a 1 legged starfish...
OK that may just be my new favorite invention! LOL
Too cool for school!
I bought those for Hubby (also a breakfast person). He has now downed several spraycans of batter.
What?! Seriously?! What will they come up with next?
pancakes in a can?
sounds awful.
.....but looks like it's sooooooo easy.
I'm so trying these.
Too cute how you spelled out her name! My husband loves to make pancakes (from scratch!) I will have to buy this and see how he reacts! HA!
AWESOME!!!! Our freezer is stocked with frozen waffles/pancakes too for my kiddos - I get the same stare if they are gone.
I have GOT to find those pancakes.
I think that is the awesomest invention know to man. Why can I not think of things like that!
Pancakes. In a CAN?! What is the world coming to!?
Hilarious. The "Alexis" pancakes look great, though. That can be tricky to do without proper accoutrement...
I just can't believe that they taste as good. I imagine it's like the "Just Add Water" mix that is supposed to be as good, but really was awful.
Okay, maybe I am a pancake snob. But I make damn good pancakes from scratch. If you are ever in the DC area, you and Alexis are invited for some breakfast! But be warned: Alexis may never go back!
That looks like a total blast. I wouldn't pay to do it too often either.
Please don't tell me that I need to come to your house in the wee hours of the morning with fairy wings and a tutu in order to give that poor child a "proper" homemade breakfast!
I will tell you that I single handedly keep Eggos in business!
YOu Americans and your food in a can! Everytime we go to the states we find our first store after the boarder and buy cheese in a can, we even bring our own box of crackers just in case!
This is officially the greatest product ever and I MUST have some. The possibilities for pancakee shapes are endless ... and I can think of some really hawt ones.
I'm pregnant, lazy and love pancakes. I am buying these today.
