From Elmo to Lord Stanley in 17 Short Hours
This morning Alexis woke up a wee bit too early (thanks again for that, Mr. I Can't Remember to Keep the Bathroom Door Closed So I Don't Set Off the Fire Alarm), so I had to crank on the Sesame Street as a survival tool. I have a few episodes saved to the DVR and randomly picked one. The right one. I had no clue, but that episode of Sesame Street ended with an Elmo's World all about penguins.
It was a sign.
Gaddum, I love that stupid furry red annoyance. Penguins!
Welcome home, Lord Stanley.
Wooooohoooooooo! Penguins!

Sorry the quality of the video sucks, but WOOOOOHOOOOO! PENGUINS!
I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself. Perhaps I should burn a couch? LOL :)
Congrats to your team! Caught a glimpse of the game when I was downtown for dinner tonight with friends. Man, I wish it was the Sens, though! OH, well, maybe next year.... or, er, in a few years! Yay for you, though. Must have been quite the celebration!
As a Red Wings fan I have only one thing to say: CONGRATULATIONS! :-) Wish I'd wagered on the Pens!!
Congratulations to the Penguins! Since it couldn't be the Bruins, I'm glad you guys won.
Still so excited for you! Luckily our local station was showing the game and only occasionally breaking in to tell us whether the tornado was going to kill us all, so really it was the best of both worlds. (Funny, but I don't remember that happening when I was back home watching Bruins games.) :)
GO PENGUINS!!
WOOHOOO!!! Did you manage to breathe throughout the entire game, or did Mr. H need to give you mouth to mouth?
Also, what is he doing in the bathroom?
YOWZA!! We won!!! Awesome game. So glad Lord Stanley is home again as well. Did you notice how priceless the look on Hossa's face was? God, I love poetic justice. :)
Go Penguins!!!
@Jen--There is a fire detector in our hall right outside the bathroom and the steam from the shower sets it off. You HAVE to let it clear completely (there are two exits from the bathroom, so not a complicated thing) or it goes off. We had it disconnected most of the time we lived here (because holy annoying--we had a battery powered one we put up elsewhere to keep from being total morons), but had to fix it before the home inspection.
First off - WHOOHOOO Pens. It's times like these that I really miss living in my hometown.
second - The steam from our shower sets off the fire alarm too...what is up with that?
Girl I thought of you...Well done Pens!!!!
