Benjamin is Back

We have a ton of Christmas traditions around here, and one of them is mentioning Benjamin in this space.

Since 2011, Benjamin has elected to give up his birthday presents so that Christmas Crazy could have a few more things. And by "a few," I mean a CAR LOAD.

Seriously.

I would estimate that Benjamin showed up at the Christmas Crazy drop-off with about $500 worth of toys. He is why we topped the $10,000 mark.

I mean, lot and lots of people are why we topped the $10,000 mark, but he's the only one I know who decided to give up his birthday presents so that other kids could have a merry Christmas.

Thanks for still being amazing, Benjamin. You are one of my favorite traditions.

I think it goes without saying I am super proud of him for doing this. He never does it for the mention in this space. He does it because he would do anything for anybody (well maybe not clean for me, but then again I am his mom.)

So proud of my nephew, I envision him at 30 standing there with a truckload of gifts for the kids! I wish we lived closer so we could share in this amazing tradition of his! We always try to send some things along to include in his donation but did not get it done this year...next year we will send double! Merry Christmas to the kids who receive gifts from Christmas Crazy and to Ben!

This kid. He is amazing! I love that he has been here since 2011. I have watched him grow through this space. I don' t have children but if I did I would want one like Benjamin (doesn't hurt that is one of my favorite names)
