I agree with Mila completely. One of the small joys of the warmer months is that I can walk the dog in bare feet. Yes, it's mildly painful the first few times until the feet toughen up again, but that's a small price. Just not having shoes on would be good enough, but a plus is that if the pavement is too hot for me in bare feet, I know it's too hot for the dog as well!
