I Might Be Jealous
I wouldn't cry if somebody forced me to become a professional photographer. At all. It would make all those hours of fidgeting with the various buttons on my camera totally worthwhile. It would be pay back for the time spent taking, literally, thousands and thousands of photos over the course of the past four years. It would give me an excuse to buy all sorts of fun camera equipment. It would allow me to make a living doing something I love more than just about anything else.
Mr. Husband couldn't tell you the different between f-stop and a shortstop. He has taken approximately . . . oh . . . seven photos in the past four years. Maybe eight. OK, nine, if you count that awkward one with the doll and the . . . uh . . . never mind.
Anyway. A couple of months ago, I jumped on my Nag-o-sawki and forced the man to push the little silver button on the camera. He took somewhere around nine photos, thereby doubling his lifetime experience as a photographer.
Guess who has a photo that he took published in a magazine.

There might also be a little something about this website as well. Maybe.
Anyway, congrats to Mr. Husband.
Many thanks to @JMWander.
And many more thanks to all of you for continuing to stop by this little space.

Great read! Mine just arrived and i showed Lushie!
Great article! And fun photo too... I struggle to work my basic point and shoot camera. Really. I'm amazingly lucky to have a best friend that actually IS a professional photographer. It's the only way I ever have any decent pictures of my kids.
I'm so excited! Very nice article.
What an awesome article! I continue to enjoy coming here daily to read and see what Alexis has been up to! You are awesome!
Congratulations! You deserve to be recognized. Your blog is a daily stop for me too. I would hire you as my family photog any day.
Don't even get my started on the reason why my WEDDING was the last time anyone took a decent photo of me! My husband has no excuse though. He was a film major!
Good for you!!!! (and mr husband, I guess)
I think you quite possibly are the only celebrity that actually engages in conversation with me when I stalk them.
I am so cool now! :)
Congrats on the article. But then again, we always knew you were awesome. :)
Awesome! I mean, you COULD have pretended you set up the auto-shot on the camera. He should be thanking you.
Read the article. Loved every word. Love every word, every picture you post. Love you in general.
Congrats :)
@AndreAnna--I kinda sorta maybe don't know how to use the self-timer on my camera. Intentionally, that is. I can use it by accident anytime it's terribly inconvenient.
That was a great article! I hope that even more people find you and your excellent blog!
Congrats to you, and Mr. Husband. And Alexis, who is the star, afterall.
Congrats, man! Making a shocking guest appearance, I know, to let you know I'm impressed and whatnot. Kudos.
What a great article! And I love that one of hubs 18 lifetime photos gets published. Ha, that's classic.
Fantastic piece! That's just awesome. And the photo is a treasure. So great. You truly ARE an inspiration!
xo
It's official - Pittsburgh thinks you rock. Then again, you already knew that! :-)
Also - why don't you pursue a professional photog gig? If anyone could make it happen, you could!
Way to go. Definitely a great piece on your site. Go figure, out of all the pictures you've taken it's your husband that gets the occasion to show off. (Hugs)Indigo
That is so cool that you were featured. And the photo is great! :)
If you want to be a professional photographer you should do it. My grandfather didn't start until he retired from the Air Force. He started a little studio in Central Georgia. Over the years he took people's senior pictures and wedding pictures then their kids senior pictures and wedding pictures. He loved it.
It's never too late to do something you love although I can't really talk. I'm not quitting my Project Management job for playwriting anytime soon. Ah, dreams... (Of course, the difference is that photographers actually have a chance to make money.)
Anyway, your photos are beautiful. You should give people the opportunity to hire you.
