My "Happy Things" List Includes Breyers
Do you ever stop and make a mental list of things that make you happy?
I do. Seriously. When I'm having a super-crappy day, I try to force myself to stop wallowing for a minute and list My Happy Things. All sorts of random things are usually on that list. There's the kid, chocolate, the way Penny's fur flops around when she runs, peanut butter, Max purring, cookies, sporks, sprinkles, flowers, ice cream, frogs in my pond, food . . . hey! Did I mention that food makes me happy? Especially dessert?
You know what makes me even happier? When I get to combine things that are on my Happy Things list. Give me chocolate and peanut butter and time with my kid and you've just made me the happiest human on earth.
Hello there, sexy!
You guys. YOU GUYS. Breyers and BlogHer asked me to review Breyers Blasts!® Chocolate REESE’S®. You can add THAT to My Happy Things list. Getting asked to review Breyers Blasts! is definitely one of My Happy Things.
A few weeks ago there was an evening when I didn't get home until it was almost time for Alexis to go to bed. I called when I was on my way home and told her that we would have some Breyers Blasts! together as soon as I walked in the door. I try to make it a point to spend a little time every day having a one-on-one conversation with her. Gathered at the kitchen table with a treat is an excellent way to get the conversation started.
She made herself a bowl and I made myself a milkshake. I kind of have a thing for chocolate/peanut butter milkshakes, by the way. That "thing" is that OMG I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.
We sat at the table talking about what we each did that day. Alexis talked about the things she had learned in school, she shared a funny story her bus driver had told her, and she told me about how she wanted to spend the weekend. It was nothing particularly exciting, but it was perfect. Everything about those moments was perfect.
Until Alexis finished her bowl.
Fortunately, we had some Breyers Blasts!® OREO® Birthday Blast! to try as well.
(Cake batter flavor + OREO cookies + sprinkles = YES. PLEASE.)
My Happy List is made up of things that may not seem significant, but thinking about sitting at our kitchen table sharing Breyers Blasts! while Alexis tells me about her day is one of those memories I'm going to hold in my heart forever.

My family would probably sit around the living room with the ice cream. We love the Reese's one!!! It is in our freezer right now and almost gone-I think my oldest is going to be upset when it is gone. Its his new favorite!
Congrats on officially making me want Ice Cream. Oh yes it is 11am and almost lunch time.
Ice Cream is an anytime desert right? Because myself and well any Ice Cream can enjoy me time anytime! I guess family time is acceptable as well. but then you have to share!
Duuude, those look awesome. We would definitely enjoy some ice cream out on the patio, especially with this heat wave coming up we will likely have to make that happen!
I would enjoy Breyer's Blast ice cream by hiding it from my children in the back of the freezer and saving it for myself. Some may think I'm selfish and to them I say, go get your own delicious ice cream!
My method of enjoyment would depend on which part of my family I'm with - if I'm at my mom's house, I'd probably eat mine while catching up with my little sister and guarding my bowl from the four-footed furry ice cream monster she lives with. Seriously, that dog would lick the finish off of any bowl within reach. But if it's just me and my boyfriend on one of his trips home, we'd probably just snuggle on the couch and eat it right out of the carton, and I'd try my best to not eat it all.
That Oreo flavor looks absolutely divine!
Step one : Breyer's Blast (any flavor!) into a cake cone. Make sure you jam it in and stack it way too high.
Step two : Proceed to the front porch.
Step three : Plop down on the porch swing.
Step four : Eat and make the most mess possible.
Step Five : Watch the sunset and lightning bugs.
My family would enjoy being somewhere else while I jam an entire container of waffle cone or banana split in my face. It's been a while since I have had ice cream - is it obvious?
We would sit on our deck after the sun went down and enjoy our ice cream.
Would it be wrong to spend the entire $100 on icecream? Because I'm sure thats a valid option.
Or some wedding stuff, because its in 2 months and we're becoming broke. Lol.
I almost bought that Reeses blast ice cream last night but just wasn't sure. I LOVE chocolate peanut butter ice cream...and so few brands get it right. I'll have to check it out. I worked in an ice cream shop in high school (why yes, my butt was huge, thanks for asking) and love ice cream way more than any adult should. Ice cream is our treat almost every night after we get the kids settled into bed for the night. (Now and then we share with them before bed but usually not.) Steve and I each get a small bowl then sit down and talk about our days without having to talk over 2 children.

I love Breyers ice cream!!! My dad always eats a bowl of ice cream before he goes to bed. And although my waist line won't let me do the "always" - at my house we do still break out the ice cream at night at least once a week and watch some late night TV.
Milkshakes with lotsa whipped cream!!
Girl, you had me at milkshakes.
We would enjoy this as a delicious dessert!!! Thanks for a chance to win and have a great day!

My husband and I would indulge after our PSL kickball games on Wednesday night.
Ice cream is our favorite family after-dinner treat! We've even been known to have "second dessert" after our little one goes to bed ;)
ice cream + chocolate + peanut butter = ALL THINGS ON MY HAPPY LIST!! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
I have a marble slab mix in set (think cold stone creamery at home) and I love making smores ice cream. So nummy!

Ice Cream is a big deal in our house too! My 7-year old son Davey is currently obsessed with becoming an "ice cream maker" when he grows up. He dressed up as an ice cream man complete with apron & scooper for his career day at school. He wants to design crazy flavors just like these blasts! Can you hook us up with folks at Breyer's? He might just be the next child prodigy! (I will, of course, willingly volunteer to be his official taste tester!)

Since my son lives in Miami while finishing school I treasure our time together. He'll be up July 9 and we have a longstanding tradition of going for ice cream when I pick him up from the airport. With Bryers blasts we can spend more 'us' time at home enjoying ice cream!
we would enjoy it on these hot summer nights on our porch with our little girls

I thought the prize was gonna be ice cream and I was like "it'll probably melt before it gets to me but I'LL TAKE IT". I suppose $100 would go a long way to getting me ice cream though so....
I would milkshake this too. And add Captain Crunch. I no longer accept milkshakes without it.
We have not eaten ice cream outside in forever, so enjoying some cones of the chocolate reeses while sitting out front sounds nice.
Hey, I just bought some Breyers Oreo Blast for my son's birthday party which is tonight. It looked so good when I saw it in the store, I couldn't resist. So not only will my family be enjoying it, but about 10 extra 10-year old boys will be enjoying it. This might be the only thing that gets them to sit down for a minute tonight, so wish me luck!
we would enjoy it on a hot day :)

Cake batter ice cream ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......... you are speaking my love language! It's so hard to find that yummy treat and now I find Bryers makes it....... I will be in heaven after I leave work and stop by the store to buy that delightful treat. My mouth started watering when I read that part of the post and hasn't stopped. My son will drool over the other one. Reece's is his love language. He can give up any kind of sweet but that! Looks like it's going to be a happy Friday for all!

Ice cream would be perfect for my oldest son's birthday party in July!
We probably sit on our front porch and eat ice cream, and most likely my nephew and niece would be around eating icream as well, since this is the norm at our house.
