Parmesan Marinara Fries
I'm on a mission to convince my children that they don't need ketchup on everything. There's a story behind that mission, but I'll spare you because ::snore::.
Step 1 of de-ketchupification is ...
Marinara definitely doesn't count as ketchup. Trust me.
Alexis actually requested these fries because it had been a while since I had made them. There's nothing really fancy, it's just a slight twist on plain old frozen french fries.
Sometimes life needs frozen french fries.
Parmesan Marinara Fries
1 bag frozen crinkle cut fries
1 clove fresh minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Shredded parmesan cheese
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Marinara
1. Follow the directions on the fries package to bake them on a large cookie sheet. Pull them out about 3-4 minutes before they're due to be done.
2. Sprinkle the minced garlic and dried oregano over top, toss the fries, and then top with a few pinches of parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Bake until the cheese is melted and the fries are done.
3. Top with a little more (not melted) cheese and marinara right before serving.
