Second Kids are Useful
Every spring I am reminded that Alexis is the gift that keeps on giving. I survived 30 years of my life just fine without seasonal allergies before her, but then BAM. After she was born, I suddenly had them.
I adore the kid to pieces, but she really didn't have to leave me with that gift.
No matter how much I read about the phenomenon that is pregnancy and what it can do to change you, I will never understand how it is that I went from mocking people who were all "The pollen! Oh dear!" to suddenly being one of those people who sneezed, sniffled, and generally stumbled through spring.
I mean, seriously. Seasonal allergies suuuuuuuck.
So.
Last year I didn't really think about seasonal allergies because I was approximately 23453223 months pregnant and HOOBOY did I have some severe sinusitis. I couldn't tell if my nose was stuffy or runny or whatever because I was just a horrible mess of the non-breathing variety.
I didn't think about it much this year either. But then I had a day when I kept running into miserable people. One after another, they declared themselves so miserable because the pollen is awful this year and allergies are the worst, you know.
But I haven't had a single symptom. Not. a. one.
I should be a terrible mess of miserable at this time of year.
ALL HAIL THE SECOND CHILD AND MAGICAL ALLERGY CURING WAYS.

Great....so now I just need to have another baby in order to feel like a normal human again. Great.
