She Still Woke Up at 6:30.
I often joke that I gave birth to a zombie or a robot or some sort of freak of nature, and here's the proof:
That photo was taken in our hotel at 1:41am after a six-hour drive from Pittsburgh to Indianapolis on Wednesday night. Alexis stayed awake for the entire drive. THE ENTIRE DRIVE. Not only that, but she had been awake since 6:30 Wednesday morning, and before that I had chased her back to bed at 3:42 in the morning when I caught her wide awake in her room packing all of her stuffed animals for the trip. She wasn't planning on taking underwear on the trip, just stuffed animals. All of them. Apparently that makes sense to a person who is able to function on five hours of sleep.
How is it that a human being can find so little joy in sleep? She *must* be a robot.

By the way, I'm also over here with a post right now. BAM!

Wow. I can run on little sleep...but not quite like that!! Sheesh! Insanity!
I sleep at three to four hour clips. wake up and MAYBE (hopefully) do another. But not always. I'm a terrible sleeper.
@TheGinger--I do not understand you people. Sleep! It's soooo good!
One of my girls is like that - amazes me with her stamina!
And I can't believe you are here in Indy and we aren't going to get to meet. Maybe one of these days!
So cute and sweet! I wish I could find sleep at the moment.
I do not understand anyone who doesn't need large amounts of sleep. This would kill me. I consider car time sacred.
HA! That last line made me snort a little. Because I'm pretty sure there are times my kids are robots too. If only they were robots who made less mess.
I've been thinking this about my son lately. HE IS NEVER TIRED! He woke up at 2 last night and watched cartoons all night. Then he threw a fit when I insisted he go to sleep at 5. He will be fine today and we will wash, rinse, and repeat again tonight probably. Much more of this and I am going to need a padded room.
