The Best Laid Plans

The To Do List for this weekend was a loooooooong one. It's that last minute push before the holiday season crashes into the room and demands my full attention.

But.

Weather.

Saturday's list was destroyed by awful weather. An errand that should have been a quick one turned out to be not so quick because of freezing rain and awful roads and accidents everywhere. While we were fortunate to avoid the really bad stuff and only had to deal with delays, well, DELAYS. Half the day was shot because of the weather.

Sunday's list was an even longer one, but when it's 65 degrees out at the end of November, there is nothing that should be done except the things that can be done outside. Thus, there was lots of playing outside, including a trip to the park.

When you can take a baby outside wearing short sleeves in late November, YOU DO IT.

That means I didn't tackle the baking I had planned today. It was an ambitious list of cookies that I really need to get started so that they're all done in time for Christmas. I had planned to bake and freeze lots of delicious treats.

Like all of these.

And these.

And these.

None of them got done.

Whoops.

So I guess now we know what I will be staying up late to do for the next several weeks.

Totally worth it.

Completely understandable, enjoy those beautiful girls! By the way, your cookies always look scrumptious!
