What's Fair is Fair with Green Mountain Coffee
If the Internet raves endlessly about something, there's a really good chance I will run the other way. I apparently have the need to go against the norm, which means I'm the last to figure it out when the Internet was right.
WHY DIDN'T YOU GUYS YELL AT ME TO PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR KEURIG RAVING?
Ahem.
So, this is the part where I tell you all that you were right and that the Keurig® Brewer is indeed the greatest thing since peanut butter and jelly was first slapped between two slices of bread. I know you told me so, but I didn't really believe it until a Keurig and a couple of boxes of Green Mountain Coffee showed up at my house. Now I'm a believer and then some.
Isn't she beautiful? She really is. She's especially beautiful because she makes FANTASTIC iced coffee.
Or, maybe the Green Mountain Coffee really agrees with her. I'm not sure. I just know that a little milk, a little flavored syrup (vanilla is my favorite so far), and the Green Mountain Coffee Fair Trade Colombian K-Cup® packs come together in beautiful harmony. It only takes a few seconds for me to throw together a fantastic cup of iced coffee, and I get to do it knowing that the Fair Trade label throws some good vibes into the mix.
Which, HELLO. I've heard the term "Fair Trade" a zillion times, but it wasn't until recently that I read up on it and learned what it's all about. The long of the short is that sometimes coffee growers are in remote locations and will end up selling their raw coffee beans to a middleman for a fraction of what they are actually worth. Fair Trade means that the farmers have been paid a fair price for their beans, which hopefully results in better paid workers and an overall better quality of life in coffee-farming communities. There are no guarantees, of course, but from what I've learned, it seems that it certainly doesn't hurt to look for the label and make sure that the company who ultimately sold the coffee I'm drinking is at least trying to make the world a better (read: more fair) place.
October is Fair Trade Month. Green Mountain Coffee® is celebrating by introducing Fair Trade Certified™ Three Continent Blend and by partnering with Kelly Clarkson. She who kicks butt live (truly) will be sharing her experience of visiting a coffee farm in Peru and the importance of Fair Trade. You can join in on the fun by reading more on Facebook or on the Brand Page on BlogHer.
You can also enter to win a Keurig® Brewing System and a Green Mountain Coffee gift basket of your very own. Just check out the Choose Fair Trade website and come back here to answer the question: Are you a coffee drinker, and if so, would you consider buying fair trade coffee?

Yes, I'm a coffee drinker! I would definitely consider buying fair trade coffee. And no, I don't own a Keurig, but I would love to!
I am not, but my wife is. She tries to buy fair trade whenever possible. I am tea drinker and love the keurig tea especially the iced teas.
If I am buying the coffee, it is always fair trade. There isn't much of a price difference, so why not?

I am very much a coffee drinker and try to buy fair trade brands when I can. To be honest some of the best coffee I've tasted has been fair trade. In addition to Green Mountain, I found Larry's Beans through a church fundraiser (very tasty) and another brand I found at McGinnis Sisters, which I can't think of but can picture in my head!! Love it...and it beats Starbucks in price by a few dollars, which is even better!
Am I a coffee drinker? LOLZ. Yes, I'm a coffee drinker. And yes, I have been wanting to go Fair Trade but... I'm receiving pushback from someone in this house who doesn't want to CHANGE THE COFFEE. Ahem.
I am not a coffee drinker - I can't stand the smell - but I like Green Mountain's hot chocolate. I love the idea of free trade, and wish that more companies would be as conscious of their suppliers. I'd definitely consider buying from Green Mountain because of their free trade policy.
I am a coffee drinker and I buy Green Mountain because of their free trade policy.
I am a coffee drinker, and I would consider buying fair trade coffee, so long as the coffee is good. I had not thought about fair trade before, but will definitely pay attention now!
Love my coffee! And I actually do buy fair-trade coffee and tea whenever I have the option.

I LOVE coffee and would absolutely consider purchasing Fair Trade Coffee, especially now that is becoming more affordable! The quality is always amazing and I love knowing it was ethically and fairly produced!
I am a little addicted to my coffee- but I drink fair trade whenever possible! Unfortunately a lot of coffee shops do not serve fair trade, or only brew fair trade if specifically requested. It's great to see fair trade available for Keurig!

I LOVE coffee and LOVE the keurig! We buy the green mountain fair trade k cups.
I can't start my day without my ice coffee. I would certainly buy fair trade and would love to have a Keurig!
We're not, but I was actually thinking about getting this setup for guests. All the rest of the family seems to drink coffee. I'd probably have a mix that includes fair trade, but I'm not sure the actual drinkers would care.
Yes, I am a coffee drinker, and I only buy fair trade coffee.
Yes I'm a coffee drinker! I don't drink it everyday, but the stuff we buy for home is fair trade, and organic if I can find it. Though I won't turn down a hot cup of Dunkins...black no cream no sugar :)
I love iced coffe and will go out of my way to get a good one :)
I want a Keurig so badly lol. It was the first thing I looked into for my Bridal registry.

I am definitely a coffee drinker, and I try to buy fair trade coffee when it is available as an option. I haven't yet joined the Keurig club, but since I'm the only coffee drinker in the house it is probably a better solution for me than making half pots every day. (Although I would miss my kids fighting over who gets to scoop and grind mommy's coffee.)
Yes, I'm a coffee drinker andI would definitely consider buying fair trade coffee. I don't own a Keurig, but I would love to!
