Why Not?
The little voice in the back of my head screams "HYPOCRITE!" but I shoosh her as I say what I want to say out loud. "Why not?"
I keep asking that question over and over of everyone.
I can't do it.
I can't write it.
I can't ... I can't ... I can't ...
WHY NOT?
So when the question was, "Can we spend a day walking around downtown taking photos?" the answer, of course, was "Why not?"
"Can we check out the cemetery and church back there?"
Why not?
"We can't go inside."
Why not?
"Can I play in the water?"
Why not?
Why not?
Why not?
Why not?
Why not?
There is a lot of magic in those two simple words.
So I'm going to keep asking that question.
Why not?

I love these photos even though I see these things on a regular basis (I work in downtown PGH). Most of the blogs I read are written by people who live so far away from me that they might as well live on another planet, but seeing that you also live in Pittsburgh makes me feel connected to you. SORRY IF THAT CAME OFF CREEPY. haha. My favorites are the two of you on the bridge!

it makes me so happy that alexis sees you jump in the car and just go all the time. love that she is learning from your example the fun that comes from putting yourself out there (and yet still be economically convenient). just look at how the once totally shy girl now embraces the new. truly a joy being around you two.
but i don't understand the first line. next time we are together, talk to me more about the hypocrite screaming voice that needs to be shooshed. because i just can't fathom your why not self being a hypocrite. does not compute.
and i need to know if that photo was one of the ones that i took or mindy had to take.
