Lessons of Love
Once upon a time, there was a Toddler who loved to play with gel clings. She would meticulously arrange them just so all over the patio door.
One day, her mean, mean Mommy decided to join in the fun. She tried moving a bunny over to the field of flowers. The Toddler was not amused. The Toddler ripped the bunny off the window amidst a flurry of words that Mommy did not understand, but she thinks they were, "You @@#%#, how dare you touch my (*&(*^( bunny. You @#%#@. (*&*(^%) _)*&%$%$ )*)&* and die, you (**&^%%."
The bunny was injured during the tirade. But all was well, for the bunny's boyfriend loved her all the same. He saw past the missing ears and knew she was the bunny he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. They kissed.
Everyone who saw the bunnies was filled with love. Even the baby chicks stopped pecking the ground to give each other a smooch.
The Toddler resumed her precise placement of the gel clings and Mommy learned to never interrupt a girl and her bunnies.
The end.

What are gel clings xactly? I'm not quite sure. And, I'm thinking she & SD are made for each other. I've been told all day "NO!" and "I don't love you!" and "NOW!"
Oh, the audacity! How dare you touch the gel sticky thingys (that you probably worked very hard to pay for, and went to the store and bought...) and interrupt the sweet bunny love!
I hope you've learned your lesson!
I would say that the message was made very clear to you in that last photo. Was that too subtle for you?
And this is why adults are not allowed to play ;)
BTW, those gel thingy's are adorable :)
Oh Miss Peach can do this for hours...and don't even think about touching them!
ha! try interrupring a boy and his crayons/sidewalk chalk! you'll be cussed out, yelled at and hit...
I think Alexis did such a nice arrangement! The kid's gonna be famous someday!
We used to have the same issues with fridge magnets. *sigh*
I am so glad Coach has moved past it. :)
Well the nerve of you!
I know I've said this before, but I love the way you always have your camera to catch these moments...
haha SO cute! So just FYI... if you leave said Gel things on a window (or glass door) and the sun shines through it will melt said Gel things and toddler will cry... AND they are a PAIN in the booty to remove once they've been melted on. I speak from experience... as you can probably tell! haha
What a great story! And pictures!
That last picture is so "Don't.Touch.My.Bunnies!"
I love it that Mr. Bunny still loves Ms. Bunny, even though she lost her ears.
The girl should be commended on having the patience to work with this evil gel clingy thingys. I tried to use them at xmas time and ripped damn near everyone one!
AHHH!!!
Hallie
I so feel for Ms. Bunny, having that tragic ear removal needlessly. But isn't it ironic that those bunnies learned to be so loving from the very one that caused the great pain?
ah, kids... LOL!!!
Ah similar experience on Sunday with shamrocks and leprecuns...spelled that wrong, I know. But, Jonathan wasn't at all interested and no one lost an ear or a pot of gold. Adorable photos and, as usual, adorable kid.
Thanks for the warning. I bought gel clings over the weekend....I am now prepared to NOT try and touch them.
:)
Ah! Baby temper. I can't wait till 2 *drips with sarcasm*
Hmmmm... how is it that you always have a camera around? LOL! The last picture is sweet
Hey, she was busy! You better listen to her! Those things looks pretty cool!
How dare you touch her things! Have you not learned a thing? Bad momma, bad momma!
Too funny! My daughter still has the Santa gel cling on her bedroom window...I know I will be in so much trouble if I take it down!
Kimmy
She certainly showed you! ha!
So cute! Now the bunny looks like a frog which makes it an even more endearing story! Thank goodness for bunny boyfriends and their undying love!
So been there done that...asserting a bit of independence there, huh?
You should feel really bad that the bunny had to pay for your interfering. I'd keep an eye on that gel rabbit. Sleep with one eye open. Or else you might find her clinging to it.
Alexis must get a lot of kisses! She's so sweet and loving. Brings a tear to my eye.
Wow! If looks could kill, huh? You've been warned by the toddler! Please be advised this goes for re-arranging magnets on the refrigerator and moving stuffed animals, too. I've learned this painful lesson and want to spare you any further embarrassment! :o)
Lizzy
bad mommy BAD!!!!!!!
How dare you? The audacity!! Messing with the carefully arranged gelly thingies! I hope you learned your lesson.
I love those gel things! Where did you find them?
This is why I don't play with my kids. I always do it WRONG!
My toddler isn't talking yet but sometimes I'm relieved because at least I don't know what he's saying when he "talks back!" You were probably right about her resposne!
Don't mess, mama!!!!
*note to self-Go buy gel clings!*
Should I call PETA?
If bunnies are losing their ears over your daughter's rage, I'm thinking maybe she'll want to go work for Gillette someday and spray shaving cream into bunnies' eyes.
On the other hand, she feeds preciously scarce Girl Scout Cookies to bulldogs. So PETA might cut her a break after all, because that's got to cancel out her abuse of gel bunnies.
BTW, ever since you told me how much you laugh at my comments, do you know how stressed I've been at coming up with funny things. I'm getting grey hairs over here, woman!
I should get some of those, my little one would love them.
So cute! (I'm pretty sure my toddler would EAT those silly little bunnies...)
tee hee hee! I am very amused with your story. And pictures to document it. I am happy to hear the boyfriend bunny loved her all the same- you know, life changing accident and all, he still stuck by her. Good bunny!
Never mess with a girl and her gel-thingies. Whatever they may be.
This is like the time I tried to colorize my son's drawings.
Never will I dare again.
Toddler cussing over gels seems nicer than when I got "you're not my friend" for interfering with Thomas and the other six bazillion trains in the house, or Lightning McQueen and the eleventy-hundred thousand die-cast vehicles.
Glad to see the boyfriend bunny is a keeper...I'm still suspicious of McQueen not hanging with Sally anymore, just because she's got chipped paint....
so silly!
Aww! How sweet. Hope you learned your lesson.
This episode deserves its own theme song:
LIttle Bunny Foo Foo Hopping through the forest
Better not go hopping over Burgh Babe's way
Or DOWN COMES THE MEAAAAN MOMMY And Babe says,
Hey you mean old mommy, I don't wanna see you or I'll rip the little gel ears off the bunny's head!
I'll give you NO MORE CHANCES!!
(evil grin and a wink, wink, wink)
Love ya! ;o)
