Wiping the Slate Clean
It's very difficult to remember just how horribly your child behaved through the last 30 minutes of Wall-E (and not just because she couldn't sit still and be quiet, but also because she seemed to have gotten the impression that she should start working on her clawing/hitting/hair-pulling skills just in case a new sport is added the Olympics wherein you are supposed to beat your Mother until she's ready to strangle you) when you find photos like this one on your memory card:

Aww that's such a sweet pic, no wonder you've forgotten the misbehaviour!
I love pictures with kids and their daddies! Men get so much more attractive when you place a kid next to them - go figure!
How was Wall-E? (The part you saw) Jim and I want to see it, but we aren't brave enough to take Dylan. We will probably go ourselves.
We went to see Wall-E too! Muffin managed to make through almost to the end before insisting that it was time to go. Apparently, 1 hour 30 min is the maximum attention span for a four-year-old.
Sweet picture - it's good to bring those up when one is considering infantcide. I know I do! :)
I haven't seen Wall E yet and do not know if my 2 1/2 year old boy is ready for a theater. I use to think I was the only mom that got beat up by her little one and wondered what on earth I had done to deserve it. I always said he must have remebered his birth. lol

That is a sweet photo. And besides - they way they keep adding "sports" to the olympics, she may actually be in training for an real event in 2016.
Its reminders like this that we always seem to find when our kids have been so darn rotten I think its a conspiracy ... lol. That is a sweet photo.
I think children are biologically hardwired to do something cute immediately after they do something so terribly wrong to keep us from putting them out in the front yard with a sign that says "Free to Good Home".
Hubby wants to see Wall-E . . . but he doesn't want to take Cooper with him. I know you can guess what my response to that statement was.

What a sweet photo! Whenever I see Aidan asleep I totally forget that he wrote on the wall with crayons, made car tracks in my plants or whatever else he gotten into that day. :o)
Aw, what a lovely photo. I can imagine how hard it would be to stay mad at such a cutie. There is no reason for children to be so cute other than to keep their parents happy.

That's exactly why, if I want to keep my "mad"... I stay away from anything they've ever done.... art projects, photo albums, their faces! :)
Never works for very long though. Sadly, my children have just about perfected the art of complete mom-manipulation. *sigh*
And this is truly why I believe children grow to adulthood....if it wasn't for things like this we'd eat our young instead! lol!

Yeah - those will get you EVERY time. My screen saver is a slide show from when The Boy and The Girl were quite young. It has proved most theraputic at times!

I feel that way, too . . . it doesn't matter how horrible my sons may have been, the minute I check on them during the night and see them sleeping so innocently I forget EVERYTHING they've done.

I had the crazy thought of taking Peanut with us so we could go as a family. Hubby set me straight REAL FAST! I love back shots like that.

Just yesterday Gavin was being a real pill, but at the same time he'd have the funniest look on his face while spewing out snotty comments or being a brat. They went to go see Wall-E and brought back some movie popcorn for me. As soon as I started eating it, Gavin took it away and said, "don't eat my popcorn, Mommy. It's spessull," and proceeded to chomp on a big old handful of it himself with a little gleem in his eye. I just looked at Justin and quietly said, "man it's tough when he's so dang cute."
I know exactly how you feel.
One moment: I'm Gage's Punching Bag, Fighting for my life, and trying to be the grown-up & seek out the educational opportunity of the moment.... and then the next moment he does something so cute & sweet....
I think that's God's way of protecting them. If they weren't so darn cute we'd either kill 'em or abandon 'em like some animals in the wild!
Those little boogers are good at that. They act like heathens and do something to melt us to the core.
I'm trying to pretend Wall-E doesn't exist. It just looks like a rehash of "No. 5." To me.
I'm so glad to know my kid isn't the only one who writhes, bites, chokes, kicks in the throat, and otherwise rips what few hairs I have left out of my tranny head.
