The Full Picture

So, when I posted a tiny portion of Alexis' murals the other day, a few people were all WTH? Why have we not seen the rest? Ask, and ye shall receive. Photo quality is crap because I couldn't get my fisheye lens to pretend to be happy in bad light, but whatever.

(And yes, I painted the whole thing. And yes, it took forever. And yes, I plan to do something similar at the new house.)

(Oh, and technically, I never actually finished the room. I had planned to paint all the words to the three nursery rhymes, but it never happened. It would be a bit pointless to do it now.)

Are you contracted out?

I would LOOOOVVVVVEEEE to have something painted on my Sunday school rooms at my Church ... the walls are DISGUSTING and I see something on them.

so on your next visit to Canada (or first trip whatever) please pencil me in, I could use some of those mad skills in my house :)

Oh how lovely. Believe it or not, when I was pregnant with Diva (didn't know it was a diva at the time) I had murals on her wall painted also - they were nursery rhymes as well. I loved it. She however, at the ripe age of 3 decided that they frightened her in the middle of the night and we had to paint over them. I cried for days when that happened. To this day I have to sing the hickory dickery doc, hey diddle diddle, baa baa black sheep, humpty dumpty and twinkle twinkle little star songs to her at bedtime when she's had a rough day. Those were the murals and those where the songs I'd sing in the rocking chair at night to her. Ahhhh, memories! Now if you are available, when we move in August you may come over and help me paint new pics on Boy Child's walls - because I didn't paint my murals, a friend did for me as a baby gift - and it took months.

Those are amazing! I love the Humpty Dumpty one. I also really love the animals around the top of the room--now I want that in my own bedroom when I get my own house!

OMG I am impressed!! Did you do that all by hand?? That's crazy awesome! Can you come to my room next? ;)

OK, two things:

1. Is there anything you can't do? I had no idea you were so artistic, that is freaking awesome. I mean, seriously. Wow.

2. Your post about memories of your house? Made me bawl like a baby. If I didn't know how great the new house is, I would totally beg you not to move.

You rock!! That is AWESOME! I totally hate living in military housing where I can't do something like that!
