She Sang the Hallelujah Chorus Before She Bit My Head Off
Alexis is not much of a desert kind of kid. It's just not her thing, which is fine by me because I totally steal her share of dessert every chance I get. When she randomly requested a strawberry-filled pastry thing at the Farmer's Market on Friday, I practically tripped in a puddle of my own slobber. I expected a one bite and pass moment, just like I get a few times per week.
Alexis decided the first bite should be a big one.
A REAL big one. After that REAL big bite, she thought for a second.
And promptly FAILED ME.
Damn kid liked the thing. A lot. Obviously. Just moments after that photo of a ridiculously happy kid was taken, I tried to steal a bite of the thing. There are no photos of Alexis' reaction to my attempt at stealing a bite because you kinda have to have a head to look through the viewfinder of the camera. Mine got bitten off.
She ate every last speck of the damn thing.
I'm still bitter I didn't have enough cash to buy two.

Haha! My son likes to "share" with Mommy too.
(Chuckling) That last picture hit it home. Pure enjoyment, pure evil mischief. Let's see how may I torture Mom today? What will make her dance?
Thanks for the smile! I'm almost betting you're still wondering what the damn thing taste like. (Hugs)Indigo
*L* maybe next time...
great shots again too. Inspiring me to get my camera out before mine have flown away. It happens so fast.
So cute! Clearly you must learn to make those. That's all there is to it!
Not much for dessert? That just flabbergasts me. Kind of like my nephew who doesn't like chocolate. What is there not to like?!
Well I can't blame her! I'd scarf that sucker down and I'm getting less and less appreciative of desserts (and what they do to my waistline *G*). I'd bite off the head of anyone that tried to take a strawberry dessert from me!
It looks yummy, LOL, now you're in trouble because she's clearly got a taste for them
Love those shots. Dang, too bad she wouldn't share. Of course it happened when you didn't have cash for more. I went to farmer's market yesterday and all they had was eggs (already had a fridge full) honey, (ditto) and some onions and lettuce. It was disappointing. I came home and made ice cream with maracuja (which my husband can't pronounce so he calls it maricona' :) I'd send you some but it would melt.
What...no bite for me!?!
Just when you think you have one tiny little portion of their personality pegged . . . BAM. *Sigh* Such is the life of a parent!
I wish I looked that cute with strawberry pastry stuff all over my face!
yummmmmmmmmmmmm.... but now you'll learn to split it in 2 pieces BEFORE you give it to her.
Ha ha ha - I love the last shot! It totally says, "Booh-ya, Mom. I tricked you! I sucked you into my elaborate 3-years-in-the-making ploy, only to trip you up now! Because I have secretly enjoyed desserts all this time, biding my time for when best to fool you." She's very expressive. :) (And adorable.)
Aww, those pictures depict it PERFECTLY! Too cute :)
That little stinker! Love it, though. What a cutie!
