Delurking Day. Just Because.
It has been . . . well . . . aw, hell, just get off my blogging lawn, whippersnappers. It has been a long time since I did this:
No reason for that. I just haven't done it. Until now!
So, like, a lot of you stop here every once in a while, but only a few of you leave comments. I'm not here to tell you what you have to do, except for maybe I am. WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE? Delurk yourselves, please and thank you! I just want a chance to learn a little bit about who the people are in my neighborhood . . . in my neighborhood . . . in my neigh-bor-hoood. (You're welcome for the ear worm.)
Anyway, leave a comment just this once and I'll love you for a very long time. While you're at it, leave me a link to a blog you like or your own blog or whatever. I kinda sorta deleted Google Reader a few days ago, so I may need some reading material at some point in time.
PLEASE? And THANK YOU!

Just found you the other day because you have a fantastic list of photographers on your blogroll. LOL

I've been reading you for a while now. I don't have a blog, I follow you through Google Reader. I do have a LiveJournal: http://lisabella.livejournal.com/ and was friends with FireMom there, probably how I found you out here in Blog land. :)
Found your blog through That's Church...don't have my own blog, so I read others :)
Hi Michelle and Alexis!
I'm here pretty much every day and occasionally comment, so I don't consider myself much of a lurker. Like many, I found your site through That's Church and now follow your adventures just as avidly. I'm a 20 something living and working in the 'Burgh, and I love it just as much as you do. You gave me the great idea of doing a Pittsburgh stay-cation, and now it has become a summer tradition for me and my friends. I also regularly try out your fun recipes, so please keep those coming every now and again. I very much enjoy your blog--thank you for taking the time every day. I know it is all for Alexis, but we all enjoy it!
Soooo, I'm a friend of the lovely FireMom and she is always saying such good things about you that I started following you on Twitter and reading your blog. :-)
I love reading Smitten Kitchen and Vanilla Garlic, two yummy food blogs. I read a zillion blogs because I have a one year old that still gets me up at night and blogs help keep me awake. That and Words With Friends. I'm ShannieLu on WWF if you're looking for new competition.
Also, you use "Get off my lawn whippersnappers" often enough that when I yell at the golfers for driving their carts across my yard I am tempted to use that phrase on them. :-)
I found your blog through That's Church and have been a devoted daily reader since. I love your stories and your way of writing sucks me in! I don't have a blog of my own to share though.
I'm a lurker (well, not so much anymore after commenting, lol). I found your blog through Terra's and have been reading it ever since. I love reading about your adorable daughter and the antics she gets up to I can relate to as I work in childcare. I have a blog but I don't have a gorgeous little to blog about (give it a few years :P)
Hi, I'm Laura and I grew up in Pittsburgh. Now I live near Washington, DC and miss the 'burg A LOT. I think I found your blog via That's Church. I loved reading [both] for about the past two years. I don't have a blog yet but I'm @mrspa06 on Twitter. I love your stories and often share them with my family. They think BurghBaby is my "friend" by now. I have also enjoyed reading your photo blog as I am trying to become a better photographer myself. :D
hi I'm natalie. big lurker. i've been reading your blog for about a year now. i hope to one day be a mom like you!
Delurking. Avid read. Bad, bad commenter (but not just on your blog). Love following your life with Alexis in the 'Burgh, which I've been calling home now for 6 years. Other blogs? Julia at Here Be Hippogriffs http://julia.typepad.com/julia/ and you are my top favorites. Julia also has a wonderful way of writing about her children.
Hello, my name is Melissa and I'm a lurker... I've been reading your blog for several months now and was directed here via 'That's Church' during the 'will the Buccos have a .500 season or not' contest. I've stayed because I find your posts interesting, funny, and/or informative. I'm also a big fan of the charity work that you do, thank you for that! :)
I can't remeber how I found this blog, or any other that I read. I'm a frequent reader of your blog, ThatsChurch.com, Mildlyamusingmusings.com, petitiehaltura.blogspot.com, and a few others.
About me:
I live in Jeannette, in Westmoreland County. I grew up in the area. I have a beautiful little girl who is two years old. I love Pittsburgh.
Definite lurker here. I love your writing and I came upon your blog from That's Church (like everyone else). I have a 14 year old girl and 8 year old boy and used to live in the 'burgh. Now I live in Johnstown, so I'm not too far, but far enough to miss it. Reading your blog keeps me close to home. Thanks!
hi! I live in the 'burgh and have read your blog just about every day for the past couple of months.. I'm halfway into my first pregnancy and you're giving me motivation to start my own baby-blog :) I'll let you know if it ever gets up and running... until then, consider my lurking exposed!
I am my husband's #1 fan, so I'm going to pimp his blog. It was a place for him to write about hilarious things that happen in his life, but recently he's changed it to a place to chronicle his year-long quest to lose 100 pounds. He's a great writer, and wicked funny, so check out his old stuff, and cheer him on in his newest endeavor.
Thanks :)

LOVE Burgh Baby. Keeps me connected to the city that will always have a special spot in my heart (we live in Charlotte, NC now).
I don't think I count as a lurker since I've commented on your site a few times (and you've taken the time to visit mine). I love your pictures and the way you write. As for me, I'm a thirty-something trial attorney, mother to two boys (4 years and almost 1 1/2 years), happily married and living in the 'burbs. You and I have a mutual friend in AndreAnna and it is nice to officially "meet" you.
Ok, here I am, delurking. I read your blog almost every day, as I do Ginny's at That's Church. I keep coming back because I have 2 kids of my own, ages 8 and 5, and can relate to your family stories. I cruise lots of political blogs, but also enjoy this one:
thepioneerwoman.com
Great writing, recipes and photography.
I guess you could classify me as a lurker. I found your blog through Ginny's and now read your blog almost every day. I'm 26 and I don't have children, but love hearing about Alexis's adventures. Nice to meet you!
i guess i'm lurking? hahah, i never thought of it like that! found you via ginny and kept reading. no real rhyme or reason -- i don't have kids, not sure if i want any and i'm blog-less -- but i like your writing (i'm a newspaper reporter) and getting to see plenty of pittsburgh love
I'm not a lurker, but I thought I'd let you know that I had my 2nd baby - a boy - on Saturday afternoon! He was 9lbs, 10oz, 23" long and born at 5:10pm.
I'm glad to have my lap (mostly) back!
One of my favorite blogs is: http://baconismylover.blogspot.com/ (note, she swears... a LOT)
I've resisted reading blogs for some time now as I feel I already do too much reading of the internet. But you reeled me in on your photography blog. I've been digging the tips-n-tricks and read through your thoughts on accessories and cameras, good stuff. Then I read a few of your normal posts. Then more. And then more. Now I check back daily. Love seeing pictures of your little one, as it gives me a peek of what ours will be doing in a few years. Your writing style and comedy kick ass, so why wouldn't I follow kickassedness? As a bonus, sometimes I see your posts before my wife (virtualcarly) and I'm all like, "neener neener."
Hello I suppose I may be one of those pesky lurker types.. Not really how I roll, but we have never been formally introduced so I thought maybe it was a little weird that I was reading all about Alexis... Though your blog is awesome and it reminds me that my son is not the only insane "tiny human" out there! I found you through 3weasels posting a link to your recipe for fruit pizza, OMG good! I just finally caught up with the times and have a Droid so I will be looking for this app you "geeks" are referring to as Google Reader and adding you to my list of must reads...
Hi! I found you through That's Church...well, actually it was probably still the Burgh Blog when I found you...and then your daughter was so cute and hilarious and had an awesome name...;) so I kept coming back and now you're the other Pittsburgh blog on my Google reader. I teach high school in the city...so my (sporadically updated) blog chronicles some of the funnier moments... :) sassandsensibility.blogspot.com
Hi. I'm Lisa and I suppose I am a lurker. I often think of posting but just don't. I found you from That's Church and read both of you religiously each day -- you girls rock! I don't have a blog but am a mom of three (3 1/2 and 18 mo twins) and love them as much as you love your daughter. Thanks for your stories.
I'm a little shy about commenting, and defintely too shy to blog myself. But I enjoy reading about your family and your adventures. I miss my hometown of Pittsburgh, I live in MIchigan now. So I love seeing your pictures of home like the ones at PPG from last week. I read mostly the "popular" blogs you would know about already, but I like some sites like pophangover.com and failblog.org. Those are great when you need a laugh!
I'm not an every day commentor but I do throw my two cents in every now and again!
Happy Delurking Day :)
i am semi-lurkish i suppose!
i think i found you through pittsburgh mom?
or maybe that's church?
i was looking through pittsburghy blogs,
anyway, yours stuck. :)
Not a lurker! But I will leave a post
Wait. So is THAT why I haven't seen you at my place in, like, for.ev.er???? You deleted me????
Huh. I may have to rethink this whole virtual friendship thing. You know, the one I have going in my head. :)
(And I really am trying to get better about knocking on YOUR virutal door more often, too.)
Hey - I love reading your blog, but rarely comment! I recently found out that my hubby works with yours! He called asking if I read this Burgh Baby blog and I was like OMG - no way you work with her hubby! :) Now I kind of feel like a stalker - ha ha!
I can't believe I went on vacation and then I missed posting on delurking day. Annoying! Anyhow, I am coming out of the woodwork - late, but still here.
I lurk! My daughter is only 3, but the similarities are nonetheless amusing. My mom directed me to your blog after reading about it in Pittsburgh magazine. Thank you for all the cute anecdotes.
Lynn
I'm a total lurker and I'm not ashamed. I embrace my lurkerdom (lurkerness?). You have the same sense of humor as I do and I am immensely thankful for my friend, who shares pretty much the same hometown as you , for showing me this blog. FWIW, i 'like' more on FB.
Oh, and I'm a transplant to the burgh too.... and totally fell in love with the city on my first trip in 1996....when there wasn't nearly as much to love.
I'm not a lurker but I'm not a freqent commenter so perhaps I'm like a casual lurker, or is it a casual commenter? Is that like a social drinker? I need a drink. We should get off these damn blogs and go get a drink because I really need one. I might be becoming a heavy drinker which would make me less of a lurker and more of an alcoholic but I'm not really sure what is worse?
I think I delurked during your last delurkifying, but here I am again. You comment on my blog more than I comment on yours, which is saying something.
I'm south of the 'Burgh, but not by much. Close enough that I'm still a Pittsburgher, even though I haven't lived in the city for longer now than I lived in it.
